Danny and his wife are the best! They get at the shop at 4:00 am to start the dough process for their donuts, when you get there by 5 or 6 am they’re fresh made and taste yummy! I have even placed orders for special events and they never disappoint us, I highly recommend them

The name says it all. As a lifeline resident of Livermore it was hard to come to terms with Donut Wheel no longer being our family tradition. You just can’t ignore the best donuts in Livermore.

I just moved to the area and saw Best Donuts across the way during a run to the Nob Hill supermarket one day. Had to wait until today to get a chance to visit. A small, homey place with a self-serve coffee bar on one side and a few tables on the other. I was helped immediately, even though there was someone who was already in front of me. I got a maple bar and a small coffee. I should have tasted the coffee first before doctoring it with the choices at the bar — it was already decent as it was, unlike most coffee at some donut places. The maple bar is larger than some, super fluffy, and not too sweet. I loved it. Will definitely come back!

We just picked up donuts from here. Every time we go in the shop, the owner is super friendly and the donuts are fresh. This has become our«go to» place for donuts in Livermore.

Just three things that make this place THE best donuts in town – friendlier people, tastier, and bigger donuts. Donut Wheel is an institution but that’s about the only good thing about them. Best Donuts is THEBEST in town. I just wish they were closer to me. Otherwise I’d be there more often.

Love the workers there. They are sisters and make fresh donuts for my church in town. Love how close they are to wear I live and how close it is to the bus line epically when I am on my way to work.

Love this donut shop! The owners are the nicest people and always throw in extra donut holes. Super friendly service, clean and plenty of parking… something Donut Wheel fails miserably in. To tope it off they always have a good selection, fresh and great tasting donuts. Im sold!!!

The name says it all. Fresh donuts made every day at the same time. They fill your donuts to order which is phenomenal. WAY better than Donut Wheel in town, whose donuts never taste fresh.

It’s rare that I buy donuts and even more rare I have an easy opportunity to do so. So when the train was running super late one morning this week I decided to drive all the way in to the office. So I pull into this shopping center here to go to Carl’s Jr and realize it’s closed at 520 am. But the donut shop here is open so I figured let’s give Best Donuts a shot. I haven’t had good donuts since I moved down from Oregon. So I was lucky since they were not open yet but let me in a few minutes early. The lady who I believe is the owner was super friendly and I think quite caffeinated. She was chatty and asked about my morning and made me feel welcome. I ordered a glazed and sprinkled cake donut, a maple bar, and a plain glazed. I started with the cake donut and it was warm and the outside was crispy. So delicious. The maple bar was creamy tasting and almost tasted like a maple pancake to me. Amazing. The plain glazed was good. Nothing outrageous but good quality. I think next time I enter that parking lot it will be to go to Best Donuts for sure. Good quality, low prices compared to other shops, super fresh, and so delicious.

They’re so kind to there customers. The Donut Wheel seems to have older grumpy people running the front. Also the people who run the The Best Donuts always have a smile on there faces.

the glazed donuts were absolutely delicious, the prices are incredibly cheap, underpriced to be honest. however, the coffee is OK but with everything else, its still worth a trip.

Really nice people! Great donuts, and really inexpensive. Had my daughter with me and she was given a donut for the road. Great selection and honestly better than the wheel.

I prefer the Wheel. I don’t know if Best changed owners or not but the maple topping now tastes like granulated sugar. The donut holes tasted fine as did a french twist.

I don’t know if these are the ‘Best’ donuts but they are the closest donuts on a Sunday morning. I considered going to that other place in town, Donut Wheel, but I just didn’t want to deal with the drama of First Street so early in the morning. So we went to Best Donuts and ordered a mixed dozen. There was nothing bad about the donuts but I doubt that they would cause the same reaction as the ‘oh so yesterday’ Crispy Crème donut. I must confess that I am not a donut lover unless it is covered in a thick layer of warm maple! The point is these donuts are fresh and still warm from the fryer(?), oven(?) toaster oven(?) and the lady behind the counter is very friendly.
