This storage facility is exactly what I wanted out of a storage unit. We moved out of our 600 square foot apartment and moved everything in storage in order to travel. We fit everything into a 8X10. Jake at the front desk has been super helpful with help we needed when we had to change our locks and making payments. We pay $ 80 and it is the lowest we could find for our unit. Recommend this storage 100%.

Airport Self Storage is awesome! They have the best rates in the local area and they are willing to go the extra mile for customer service. The staff here is fantastic willing to work with you whatever you may need and have excellent knowledge about the type of space that would be adequate for your things. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who requires storage services.

I love this storage facility!
I recently moved from a larger house to a smaller place temporarily and had to get a few storage units to hold all of my families rarely used items. This facility is by far better than the others.
Here’s why:
. Other places fail to have light in the units and I always forget to bring a flashlight! Super inconvenient. Airport Self storage in Livermore ALWAYS has WORKING lights inside the units! If not, they are quick to fix it!
. They go out of the way to help you! For example: there were a few days I was on my lunch break (which happened to be the employees break too!) and I went there wanting to pay my bill by debit card and no one was there. I called another location and they gladly contacted the Livermore employee and he was there within 10 minutes to assist me! I know everyone cherishes their work break (including myself!) and I always recognize good service! This is one of them!
. And just a plus … All units are drive up! No dealing with hallways, carts and elevators!
If you need a storage unit and live fairly close! Go here! Great prices too!!!

Such great customer service very quick to help. Great location right off freeway and highway 4. I use it for my business to store product great rates and safe access. Work for Fox Racing out here at the Livermore outlets. We are always appreciated of helping local businesses. Been a manger a long time and the manger here is awesome.

Be careful… Do NOT trust them. I WANTED to like this place. The woman at the front desk was very friendly when I started the lease on my storage unit. Decent rates and a convenient location. When I signed the contract on June 2, 2015, I told her I was going to be out by August 31, 2015. They require a 30 day notice prior to leaving; no big deal. She put my notice AT the signing. I removed my items on August 20^th and checked out on the 29^th. Went INTO the building, told the employee, «I’m checking out of unit #****, is there anything else I need to do?» Was told, «Nope, you’re all set.» I said thank you and went on about my day. A week later I was charged for the month of September. Over this past month I’ve called 4 times and each time I’m left with, «Oh, alright. Let me talk to my manager about this and see if we can get this sorted out.» Still, always friendly.
Then I called today. I talked to the same guy (His name is Dod) I’ve talked to TWO times (knew me by name, and my situation), when he told me, «My hands are tied, I’m the only manager here and there’s nothing I can do.» I asked, «Ok, well can I speak to the owner then? Someone who can realize this is a small issue and a MISTAKE on your end?» And he told me «No, they don’t talk to anyone.» I wanted to have some more words with him, however, I resisted. Go me.
So basically, what I received was a, «we’re stealing your money even though THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED says you’re only going through August.» He was COMPLETELY unhelpful except for the fact that he suggested I talk to my bank about the issue. Which I did, and thankfully Chase is willing to do an investigation.
This place seems VERY shady. I don’t trust them and I asked my bank to prevent them from charging my card anymore. This seems like the kind of place that would steal your identity and sell it to the highest bidder. Sketchy at best. Oh and there are cockroaches. I found some nice, big live ones that ran around my kitchen when I removed my items.

Great facility. Every unit is clean and has drive up access. I have been a tenant here for many years. I recently needed to up grade to a larger unit mid month. They gave me a half months credit at the old rate and only charged me a half month at the new higher rate. The owner also had two of his employees help move my stuff into the new unit. I highly recommend this company.

We used airport storage mid-​2014 for storing our whole house for about a month when we had a few weeks between places. Price wise and location wise, we thought it was a good solution and the woman was friendly enough and extended hours for us. Almost enough for me to give this two stars but I just can’t. I can not recommend this location to anyone, except maybe an enemy.
I’ve never had to deal with cockroaches until storing our items at this storage facility. When unpacking the boxes from our unit, every 5 boxes or so, there would be a live cockroach. It was truly disgusting and infuriating. There were pincher bugs too but I can deal with those… not the roaches. I am writing this a year after the experience because we are still having to deal with these roaches.
This storage facility is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
I wish I had done more research as I would have gladly paid twice as much for another facility if I had known that there really is a cockroach problem at Livermore Airport Storage. If they could fix this, then they’d get a 4 – 5 star review.

I distrust one-​star reviews. I usually assume it’s some entitled brat who had a minor misunderstanding and sought revenge via Unilocal.This place has made me reevaluate that theory.
First:Caroline at the Livermore office is wonderful. Unfortunately, the effect of this is equivalent to ABANDON ALL HOPE, YE WHO ENTER HERE. HAVE A NICE DAY.
I’ve used this place for a long time, always paid on time. I was on a business trip and made ONE late payment, and since then my life has become a spiral of despair. They do not call you. They permanently raise your rent $ 20. They assess a $ 50 pre-​lien fee four days after the due date. I straightened everything out, got the exact amount due, and sure enough, the day after they received my check they sent a notice that a $ 50 pre-​lien charge was being assessed, and no time was available to react because by the time the letter arrived the date was past. I have no idea why the charge is being assessed because I paid exactly what they told me to.
The owners are sociopaths. Stay away from here. They were the cheapest place around, but they’ve jacked up the rates and provide no service whatsoever.
There is no pest control. If you don’t mind all your books and furniture being eaten, that’s not a problem.
The spaces are all much smaller than advertised, so even when the prices were lower, your cost per sq ft wasn’t really all that great because they lie.
Stay far, far away.

First of all, the customer service in the Livermore office is excellent. I hope the owner knows what he has here, she is great.
Bad first impression, the signs in the office are very threatening and negative.
I tried to sign up for automatic credit card payment, but they charge an extra 5% for this! What in the hell is that??? Most companies would want that, it seems like the owner WANTS you to be late so he can collect the late fees.
I will eventually take my business to a facility that promotes prompt payment.

Here’s my rule for posting negative reviews: I have to see a pattern and it has to be systemic. Well this place made a pattern yesterday. We’ve been a customer here since mid-​April 2014 and we store our 24′ trailer there. I concur with a different reviewer that the trailer spots take a lot of maneuvering and fancy driving to get into but the manager there does a nice job of letting you choose a spot that has no one next to you and we’ve been coping.
The issue I have with this place is the communication. The owner (not the manager) is a total failure at customer communication. A week after we signed our lease, we were sent a letter that said — and I’m not joking — «We have discovered our prices are much lower than the surrounding area rental market rate. [in bold] Therefore, regretfully Airport Self Storage is forced to correct this by having a minor price increase on all units.» That is not from my memory. I typed it directly from the letter.
Yesterday was when the pattern was formed. We received a letter that said, «[Y]our lease expires at the end of each month and subject to management discretion, renews automatically on the first of the next month. It is the Management’s option not to renew your lease. You have until August 3, 2014 to vacate your unit. You are still responsible to pay for the rent for July 2014. You will not be charged for the first 3 days in August 2014, however if you are still occupying your unit after August 3, 2014 you will be charged penalties and your vehicle will be towed off of the property and you will be repsonible [sic] for tow and storage charges.»
That’s it. No explanation. No «Thank you for being a loyal, responsible customer». I called and was told that all trailers and campers are being told to vacate for construction. That’s fine, but the communication from this place (complete with typos) is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ll never do business here again. How the owners are successful with this level of customer service is a tribute to the manager there who compensates for their terrible manners and communication skills. They should have her write their letters for them.

Should have checked Unilocal before we showed up here. We bought a new 29′ travel trailer, and we had great interactions with Jake (Dublin) and Caroline (Livermore) by phone. Signed the contract on Sunday afternoon and brought the trailer in on Monday morning. The aisles between the parking spaces are exceedingly narrow, have nearly zero clearance when turning at the end of each aisle, several vehicles (trailers, boats) extend over their allotted space making it that much more difficult to safely navigate through the parking lot, and the 35′ spots are actually quite a bit shorter since they are diagonally oriented but they measure from stripe to stripe. (Said another way: a 35′ trailer parked in a 35′ slot would extend at least 3 – 4′ beyond the stripe.)
Now I’ll freely admit that we are new to trailers (though we’ve driven RVs for years), so we are not the most experienced when it comes to parking a trailer in tight spaces. But the layout of the lot, and the tight turning radius at the end of each aisle, made it harrowing (to say the least) to navigate in the lot, and we decided that we would not be able to reliably park here, navigate around the existing vehicles in the lot, and keep our vehicle and those in the lot safe.
Given that this was less than 24 hours after signing the contract, I requested our money back (less the administrative fee), and the owner refused, blamed me for not knowing how to park, and made it very clear that I’d be out January’s pro-​rated rent and all of February (nevermind that the total time we spent in the facility was less than one hour).
Given this exceptionally short-​sighted approach to customer service, I can’t recommend this business at all.
