I am a sucker for Groupon deals. Tuscan Tans & Day Spa had a great one a while back where you could get two facials for $ 40! And, it wasn’t too far from home so I went for it. Before this I’ve only had one other facial that I can remember and was not impressed. So keep in mind that I’m a bit of a «newbie» when reading this review. I think they only have one woman who does facials. I really wish I could remember her name, but alas, I am horrible with names. When I first called to schedule an appointment, I ended up having to schedule a month out to be able to get a Saturday time that worked for me. I just booked both facials at once, so ended up going about a month apart. I believe the groupon stated that they were«anti-aging» facials, but not 100% sure. My first facial was WONDERFUL! She walked me through everything she was going to do and the products smelled and felt great. It also included extractions, which made a world of difference in my skin. The second facial was just ok. It involved a face massage instead of the extractions. Sure, the massage is nice, but my skin was nowhere near as nice afterwards — in fact I couldn’t really notice any improvement at all. So, my recommendation is to ensure that whatever facial you get includes extractions(assuming you want that sort of thing). Prices also seemed fairly reasonable, at around $ 60 for a facial. The space itself is clearly more of a tanning salon. I believe there is just the one room set up for facials(which is another reason why I think it’s just the one woman who does them). The bad part about this set-up is that the«walls» of the facial room do not go all the way to the ceiling, allowing sound to easily carry from the rest of the space. This would not be so much of an issue if it were all facials, massages, etc., but with the tanning booths the customers surrounding you during your facial could get pretty loud. I’m pretty good about blocking noise out, but you should be aware if you decide to go.
