I began my musical journey in high school, graduating from Columbine High School in 1978. I went on to study Jazz guitar at the University of Northern Colorado for a year, and then started playing in bands. After several years of performing all over the western USA, Canada, as well as overseas locations in the Pacific rim, I returned to CU-Denver to finish my music degree. From there I continued to play music locally and upon completion of college was hired as a staff writer for a music production library called, Brown Bag Productions. I continued writing music for TV and radio imaging for the next 24 years. All the while, still teaching guitar lessons privately, and performing with several bands locally. I also taught Applied Guitar at CU-Denver for a year. I’m the author of the self published book, Reading Chops For Guitarists. I enjoy working with students of all levels to help them set and achieve their musical goals.
