My Pet’s Place At Redstone

Great staff here. They really love dogs! It’s less expensive than many other doggie daycare places, but they offer a lot less. If you don’t need a webcam to check in on your pooch or the fanciest playground for Fido, then this place is just fine.

I have been using this place for probably 4 to 5 years now and they are AWESOME! My dog Summer loves it there and even though she is always glad to see me when I pick her up I know she is always taken care of she is there! Love this place!

Pros:
— The staff is very nice, know what they are doing and run the business efficiently.
— Co located with a vet hospital so any missing shots or immediate medical attention needed, Redstone is adjacent to the facility. Good perk.
Cons:
— If you’ve ever been to a pound/​humane society, it’s the same set up. Kennel are small, long yes, but its a crammed facility.
— Very loud during the day. Yes dogs will bark when new animals or visitors/​personnel come in, but if you have anxious pups this place isn’t really quiet nor calm for them to reside.
— It is covered, yes. One person said it’s air conditioned, someone else said there’s a giant fan. Regardless, as we know it gets hot here in Denver, when you have so many dogs in this place along with the ambient heat outside it isnt as comfortable as an indoor facility. That’s important to me.
— The place is currently under construction, so the play area, which is pretty small, is just all dirt. Yay dirt :-/​
Overall, after looking at other places (not coming back here), prices are the same anywhere else you go with a few bucks more or less here and there. Please do yourself a favor for your pets when you board them and bring them somewhere where they will be in a cool place, they can socialize with other dogs in a calm and less hectic atmosphere, and that they are in a place you would feel safe and comfortable leaving your children there (for the most part that’s what they are to you). I feel horribly guilt leaving them here, but I was in a rush and had no other options due to travel that day. I recommend going somewhere else.

I was looking for a place to board my pooch over a weekend. Snce this place got such high reviews I took her over to check it out, Quite honestly, I dont understand the glowing remarks. Even ignoring that the pond iis closed for construction this year, the yard is a giant expanse of dry dirt. The cages where the dogs will spend the bulk of their time are tiny to the point where several dogs could not easily turn around and the PVC framed bed took up 75% of the plain concrete floor space. It is nice that they have a large outdoor space, but the space where they spend 22hrs/​day is more important. The people may be lovely, but the cages are just way too small.

My regular boarding place was full over Memorial Day weekend so after reading a few reviews I decided to give this place a try. I was able to get in over the holiday weekend. They sent me a follow up email reminding me of my reservation and called a couple days before with a few reminders of what my dog needed. When I checked my dog in they were super friendly. I was only there a couple days and I was able to get my dog groomed while he was there. They did a fantastic job grooming him (and even got his nails clipped which other groomers have struggled with). My dog came home happy and exhausted which means he had a great time. They have a great group play area, but sadly my dog doesn’t get to use it. My dog is dog aggressive but thankfully they have a perfect package that gets him one-​on-​one time with a person in the morning and afternoon instead of the group play option. The prices are really reasonable here and the process to check-​in and out is really easy. The kennels have an indoor and outdoor section so your dog has room to go where he/​she wants. Overall my dog had a great experience and I save money over my usual place plus got him groomed which saved me a trip to my groomer. I’ll definitely be back the next time I need boarding!

We have been taking our dogs here for multi-​day overnights for many years, formerly two Norwegian Elkhounds (now dearly departed) and since 2004 our two terriers. We have always had great results. We are confident that our dogs are safe, well cared for, and they do not show any signs of anxiety or stress, either going in or when they come home. Of course they are glad to see us :) but they seem quite themselves at pickup time. That’s how you can tell!

Wonderful young people running this kennel and day care! Can’t say enough about how good these kids are. They are organized at the front desk and on the telephone, give you a confirmation call a few days beforehand, remind you of any outstanding vaccines needed, etc. I KNOW they keep the runs clean, because my dog comes home and he still smells fresh, not like old poop or urine. These kids deserve SIX stars for their dedication, their love of animals, their knowledge, their energy, and their kindness. I searched 31 kennels over 6 weeks, and this was, hands down, the ONLY one that I would leave my dog at. I drive one hour each way, but it is so worth my peace of mind. Prices are reasonable, one can almost always get a reservation (be mindful of early fill-​ups at the holidays), and all in all, it’s just a great place.

This place as tremendous! They have a HUGE outdoor play area for the dogs & my dogs always come home exhausted after doggie day care. They take wonderful care of my pets & are always friendly.
