Living The Dream Brewing

One of my favorite breweries in Colorado. Great people work here, super friendly and always make you welcome. Great beers. They have many different types and wonderful small batch and seasonal offerings. A great atmosphere and vibe. Cool place to bring your dogs and kids.
Great location in an industrial park very low key and vibrant

Their beer is usually very good although I had a somewhat «watery» brown ale the last time I stopped by. The bartenders are always very friendly. The parking can be a little difficult (not many spaces and no other close lots) and there are not very many tables so it can be a little risky in cold weather. The atmosphere is good and there’s always a very diverse selection of craft beers.

Came here on a Saturday night, the food truck of the evening was Roaming Bull. Had the gnocchi and tempura green beans… wayyyy better than expected. Great atmosphere, dog friendly, but it gets packed an parking is limited!

Dog friendly, different food truck every day of the week with delicious food, casual atmosphere. Every time I travel some place new I nearly always stop by a local brewery or tap room if I can, and the samples of beers we tried here are amongst some of the best I’ve ever had! We loved all 6.

I live in Capitol Hill (east side of downtown Denver) and the 30 – 45 minutes commute to this brewery is well worth it. The staff is always friendly and outgoing and the beer is always different and absolutely amazing. I feel like this is the first time I have tasted a beverage and its like nostalgia for some odd reason.

I have been wanting to stop in here for quite a while, and finally got the chance this weekend. Eh. The bar staff was excellent, the décor was fun and suited the typical Colorado brewery style, and I very much enjoyed the big outdoor area in the back. We ordered a flight with extras (it was a special of the day or something), which I think was 7 – 8 beers, so that we could try a bit of everything. Again, eh. I wouldn’t say the beers were bad by any means, just not blow-​me-​away worth it.
I might head back if friends suggest it as a place to go, but otherwise it hasn’t made my list of local breweries to hang out at. I like to go to a place for specific beers, and I just couldn’t find one here. Maybe as their taps rotate I’ll find something! Ever the optimist.

A hidden gem. The skis on the wall display the various beers they have on draft. A rather unique idea. One I tried a few months ago was a raspberry beer with about 8% ABV. It was amazing despite raspberry not being my thing. They have a rotating board, but a few drinks have remained consistent the times I’ve visited. This is definitely a place to go if you’re into IPA’s, which I am not.
The No Filter Wheat is decent, but the beer I’ve enjoyed the most is the Plaid Pants Dry Irish Stout. And it is quite dry. I normally prefer a beer that has smoothness to it. Regardless, this beer is near the top of my list for favorite local beers along with the Rappellin’ Down Brown.
The atmosphere is wonderful and feels friendly. There are three televisions around, with one being a projected screen. Usually, they’ll play a local sport (Avalanche, Broncos, etc.) on it or whatever else is interesting. It’s definitely a place where you can bring a few friends and play some cards — or some board game — and enjoy a refreshing beer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the beer.
Need food? They offer some snacks, but the goldmine is when the trucks visit on a nightly basis. You can always expect fantastic food from these trucks. I highly recommend this place on any given day.

Neat atmosphere, open and comfortable. My hubby, friend and I went on a Saturday at 2pm and it was busy and lively. They have a food truck rotation which gives visitors the option of eating there if they choose which is always nice.
The boys had the double IPA which they didn’t think was as smooth as other IPA’s that they’ve had but not bad either.
Bathrooms are clean and the water keg is cool as well.

Count your money folks! Love the place but bartender acted weird when I gave him money and he returned 10 from $ 20 for a $ 5 beer. Noticed the weirdness then but overlooked it only to realize the money in my pocket was short, when I got home. Jerk.

Excellent brewery experience! The joint was jumping on Saturday afternoon and it was a struggle to get enough seats for our foursome. We decided to go for the full sampler of 10 brews and I am glad we did, they were almost all amazing! It was one tasty beer after another and I will have to remember to bring a growler for next time.
The service was super friendly and they were busy as can be. The beers that stand out are the saisons, wheat beers, and of course the Caucasian — modeled after a white Russian with peanut butter. Very tasty stuff!
Areas for improvement are providing beer lists around the tap room, not just on the wall in the corner. And expansion, as this place was very full.
We got a couple of pint glasses to take home, and plan on returning. Although it is a little ways away from metro Denver, it was worth the travel. I recommend this place for sure!

First time visit tonight… what a cool place!.. nice crowd, great beer… great vibe… on right off the High Line trail, They probably had about 8 beers and a food truck.
I can see coming back here again and again as it is a perfect destination for a bike ride!

This is my favorite brewery In South Denver! You have to try the Eternal Hoptimist DIPA!

I LOVE the outside patio and the crawfish festival they host there is wonderful. I like going their because of the scene and the great people you can meet on those busy days. The beer tenders are quite nice as well.
I give this place three stars because, honestly, their beer is… «eh». I go for IPAs usually, and what I have found is that their «straight» IPAs have the «harsh» hop that you’re looking for… but nothing else. On a flip note, their saisons are too much. I do not recall the name of the one «fruity» saison that I tried, but it was almost medicinal.
I hate to say all of that because I do intend to return because the scene is really worth it. I can deal with an «OK» beer if the setting and atmosphere is right.

Wanted to try the IIPA, sadly wasn’t on the menu. The single IPA was, and it was ok, nothing to write home about, hit a single up the middle on this one. Not a great nose or aroma to speak of, easy drinking solid taste on the tongue.
Didn’t try anything else. Nice place. Dog friendly.
Try it people, it’s beer for cryin’ out loud!

Super busy brewery (as to be expected from the burbs) but was a HUGE open space and great service. Look forward to trying more!

I might be biased. I volunteered at the GABF this past year and the ladies at the Living the Dream booth were very cool and the samples they were pouring were great. I had just left another brewery nearby that had only one beer on tap (WTH?) and so LTD with I think 7 or 8 on tap was already a leg up. I only had three samples on this visit. The Empty Trophy Case IPA, the Eternal Hoptimist Double, and an Imp. Stout that I don’t remember the name of that actually might have been my favorite. The stout leaned towards sweet with lots of chocolate and coffee notes. Both IPA’s were good too and to me leaned towards piney but not overly so. I’ll need to make another trip down here for some more tastings sometime soon!

My drinking buddy and I had a great time at Living the Dream Brewery. It’s tucked away in an industrial area — another one of those «warehouse» breweries. But inside, it’s cozy with quite a few large tables and a bar with about 10 or 15 seats.
All the beers are drinkable, and the taps change frequently. I particularly enjoyed the Belgina Dubbel which was dark and tasty.
The staff is friendly. One of the owners was behind the bar from time to time — a plus if you want to keep your customers happy. I was able to stay sober long enough to talk shop with one of the brewers. One of my favorite parts of any brewery visit is discussing technique, and all of my questions were answered enthusiastically.
It’s the kind of place where you can easily tell that the folks who work there have a passion for brewing, but they manage to be hospitable and sociable as well which makes it easy to go out of my way to visit Living the Dream.

First time being here I really enjoyed it. The bartender was enthusiastic and good at explaining the beers. And it’s the first brewery I’ve seen with a triple IPA.
Great atmosphere, I will return.

I have been obsessing about visiting this brewery since they opened (mostly because I LOVE the name!), and finally had a chance to visit a couple weekends ago. I enjoyed my time here, but when I was here none of their beers knocked my socks off– they were good, but nothing truly memorable or special. However, I absolutely will be back to continue to check out their latest offerings as I know their taps change somewhat frequently.
Service was good, and the space fairly large. See you again soon!

My wife and I decided to do a quick tour of the new local breweries and watering holes last Saturday. This was our first stop.
Its industrial park location and garage atmosphere aside, and ignoring the less than adequate parking, this place is a gem. Great selection of brewed-​on-​the-​premises beers, ranging from Kolsch to Brown Ale to IPA and more. I had one of two IPAs, where the bittering units, or IBUs, were listed as «off the charts.» Not quite as hoppy as Mr. Hoppy from the defunct Wolf’s Tongue in Nederland, or Hop Czar from Bridgeport, but still like getting whacked in the mouth with a bale of hops — quite delicious.
My wife had a flight of 5×2 oz. pours, and liked all of them.
The food truck that day was serving burgers and dogs made from some pretty exotic meats — alligator, kangaroo, wild boar, bison, venison etc. I wasn’t hungry at the time so didn’t try anything, but it looked and smelled great.
I love the fact that they welcome dogs, and will bring mine next time I come, which I look forward to in the near future.
5 stars if the help were a little more attentive.
