Chris with HomeSpy Property Inspections has done two home inspections for me. He is extremely knowledgable and very thorough with each inspection he performs. He takes his time to go through each part of the home (inside and out). He is very detailed and explains everything so that the inspection is easy to understand. I would highly recommend Chris if you are planning to buy a home and need someone to do an extremely efficient job inspecting it!

Chris takes his time and does a thorough job. He explained every part to me in the water heater/​AC/​furnace closet and gave me helpful tips and information. He also didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need such as a radon test. He said that since my home was on a second floor it wasn’t necessary. I highly recommend him.

Just as the stars say, Woohoo! As good as it gets! Purchasing my first home was pretty scary, especially when it is 101 years old!!! Having HomeSpy do the inspection really calmed my nerves. Chris was great to work with. Meticulous and thorough. He really took his time and identified a handful of items that were both concerning and cosmetic. Chris was very clear in his explanation of the problems identified, and the necessary fixes to mitigate them; as well as items that were merely normal wear and tear. His report is very well written, clear and to the point. I have heard that inspectors know a little about a lot. Not true here, Chris knows a lot about a lot, and is great at walking a home buyer through his knowledge. I would recommend HomeSpy Property Inspections, Inc. to any first time home buyer.

Chris at Homespy Inspections was wonderful! We needed a last-​minute inspector, and he came to our home in Boulder (and came back for the radon test several days later, even though it was a long drive for him). He was incredibly thorough and went out of his way to spend extra time explaining everything to us. His write-​up was very helpful for both short-​term fixes and ideas for long-​term maintenance. Chris did an amazing job. We spent an entire 4.5 hour time period going through our new house with a fine tooth comb. What I appreciated the most was the time he took to explain what everything meant that he was looking at, what needed further inspection (such as the gas fireplace) and what things needed fixing immediately.
At the end of the process, Chris provides you with a binder of handyman/​contractor referrals as well as providing a very detailed report that can be used as a checklist of items to fix/​maintain over the first several years of home ownership.
If you’ve purchased I new home, I cannot recommend HomeSpy enough.

We were purchasing a new house and had some concerns about the condition of the roof. I looked around and found that HomeSpy Inspections had the best reviews on Unilocal,Google, and Angie’s List — so we gave them a call.
Chris (from HomeSpy) spent over an hour on the phone with us (before we even decided that we wanted to hire him for the job) to explain the implication of having a wood shingles roof and the complications it may cause with insurance (things we hadn’t even though about before speaking to him). We were so impressed with his knowledge and his patience that we decided to have him come out and do the inspection.
We were so impressed with his overall inspection! He was very patient and thorough. He spent hours at the house checking everything and then even took the time to walk us through the property and tell (really teach) us about the pros and cons of the property. I just got his report back and it is meticulous and well organized. He even gave us some suggestions for other contractors/​handymen to help us with the things that need to be fixed.
You might get a cheaper quote if you call some other companies, but i will tell you that Chris is worth every penny (his price was a little higher than others, but definitely worth it!).
Chris is an amazing and honest inspector! I definitely recommend him to anyone!
P. s. Just one thing — he only takes check, so don’t forget to bring your checkbook to the inspection (or you can mail him a check later).

Home Spy is a top notch home inspection company. This is the 6^th home I’ve bought over the years. I’ve had inspectors that were good and not so good. Chris was excellent. He was extremely thorough, looking in every crack and crevice. He tested all the appliances for operation, which many inspectors do not, and gave me a number of mini-​seminars on proper maintenance of various systems, how to easily repair a number of small problems, and things to look out of. I learned a lot from his inspection, and am now equipped to take care of my new home.

I’ve used them before on a property I recently sold… My basement was on the verge of flooding from the sump pump and the inspection caught this just in time. That saved me a boat load of money! This time, I purchased an Oakwood home and had some questions about some of the work that was done… The property was thoroughly inspected and I had a number of items the builder needed to take care of. Everything is well documented, and I was able to show and tell the builder exactly what required their attention at the 45 Day walkthrough. He’s more expensive than my phase inspector, but he was also more thorough and computer savvy! I consider this a small investment in the future of my brand new home! I highly recommend this company, and will use them again in the purchase of any future properties in Colorado… Do yourself a favor and user Home Spy prior to your property purchase!

Chris did the best job of any inspector I’ve had, and that’s saying a lot! He took his time, patiently explained every detail, and found several items needing fixed. On the other hand, he confirmed what I thought were minor issues. His report was on time, thorough and easily understandable. His down-​to-​earth manner helped. He is a wealth of knowledge.
You can’t go wrong hiring HomeSpy. I’m very happy my realtor referred us there.

Chris did an outstanding job on our home inspection and is an expert in his craft. He not only does a thorough job but he also takes the time to educate on how to properly maintain a house. As the inspection was in the winter he did what he could on inspecting the sprinkler system and air conditioner. For the sprinklers he showed signs as well as tips for a properly winterized sprinkler system and hoses. He notices things about the house that at first you don’t give a 2^nd glance but after being told, it becomes glaringly obvious such as a slope deck or risen garage floor.
There are a couple things that could be clearer on the web site but don’t impact the quality of his inspection. On the website for instance under «kitchens and laundry rooms,» appliances are listed to be inspected; however, when given the inspection agreement, freestanding appliances like refrigerators, washer, and dyers are listed as exclusions to be inspected. I called about the discrepancy and the lady I talked to mentioned he has run the washer and dryer on inspections she attended before but he did not inspect them for our inspection. However, for us without saying anything he did do a quick visual inspection of the insides of the refrigerator as well as its water and ice dispenser functionality. So your mileage may vary. If anything I suppose those are pluses on top of his already detailed inspection. If the opportunity comes again, I will use HomeSpy Property Inspections in the future.

I’ve had two homes inspected by Chris, and his expertise is simply incredible. He has so much knowledge about how homes are built, what’s needed to maintain and repair them, what all the codes are, etc. I received detailed PDF reports from both home inspections, and they’re absolute keepers. Seven years after our first inspection, I still refer to his report.
During the inspection, Chris is patient and thorough, and explains everything he’s looking for, answering questions along the way. From his explanations, I’m able to build a detailed list of things to repair, things to watch out for, and people to hire to take care of the bigger stuff. He also tells you what’s right about the house, what they did correctly, what he likes to see, etc. It is such a pleasure and a learning experience watching him work.

We completed our inspection with Chris earlier this week. He took so much time with us to help us understand all elements of our new home; the HVAC system, sprinkler system, winterizing, how it was built, and advised us what was good and bad. This is my 4^th purchase of a home and I have never had an inspector as good as this. Chris really cares about his customers and his work. His report was thorough and detailed. No need to look anywhere else, this is your guy.

Honest, easy to work with, and detailed is how we would describe Home Inspections. I was very happy with our full experience and with the detail of the report and quick response to follow up questions. We have used them for our own home plus rental homes. Extremely thorough and worth the money.

Chris did a fantastic job going through my house. He spent more than 5 hours going through the house and was extremely thorough and complete. He explained things as he went and took a lot of extra time to answer my questions. Chris has a wealth of knowledge from his years in the business and is a true professional. Home inspections aren’t an everyday affair. When I bought my first home, the inspector simply walked around with me and took pictures of stuff while talking to me. I think it took 45 minutes total for the inside and out of a house. Chris took almost 4 hours to go through everything with me. He explained how things work, the right and wrong way to fix things and trouble spots as we found them. He was more expensive than the other guys but MUCH more thorough and complete.
Chris was a true professional throughout our experience — from scheduling him to come for the inspection to him showing up early to knock out the time consuming parts.

Chris was really great. Very honest and very thorough. He is a little more expensive than the others and at first I was a little weary about spending extra money on the inspection as things are tight in my budget! But it was certainly well worth it! He is so detailed and you learn a lot throughout the process. I am very happy with everything about his service and will definitely use him again if I ever need another home inspection!

I always hesitate to write a review until I’ve seen how well the «product» hold up over time… well, it’s been almost a year since Chris did our for purchase inspection and everything he said has held up. His report was detailed and timely. He showed up ten minutes early and you could tell he was really concentrating on what he was doing. He also referred us to other contractors who have done amazing work. In this day and age it is rare to find someone as earnest as Chris Anderson and if heaven forbid we buy another home, this is the guy I’ll call.
