I really should use Google more often. Turns out there’s a H.F. much closer to my house than the Colfax location. This store is smaller than that Colfax location, but has a good selection. We were in and out in 10 minutes and found everything we needed quickly (that rarely happens at H.F.). Should I return, and I have good service, I could see adding another star to my review.

I went in here looking for a jack for my F150. I had an idea of what kind I wanted but needed to look at their selection and ask some questions. I was wanting something compact. There were a ton of floor jacks but those were bulky and heavy. I then saw a scissor jack. It seemed like their were two different sizes. Not sure which one would hold my truck so I read the package and hoped an employee would walk by so I could ask. Eventually an employee came by and was stocking some items a few feet down from me. He never made contact or asked if I needed help. I didn’t mind going to him and asking. I told him I was looking for a compact jack for my F150 (for the purpose of changing a tire on the go) and needed to know if the jack I was holding (smaller of the two) would work or if I needed the bigger one that holds more weight. He said not to get the one I had because it was made for cars and would not hold my truck. He pointed to the other I had been looking at and said that one should be good. I picked it up and was off to the register. I had a coupon that a elderly man gave to me while I was looking around and was excited to get me some good $$ savings. I paid for it, took it home and took it out of the package to try it out. As soon as I took it out of the box and was reading the label it said: do not use for changing tires… WHAT??? I read more about it and turns out the guy sold me a trailer leveling jack, definitely not going to work for me. I took it back a few days later and the lady at the register apologized and helped me exchange it for the correct item. She would not honor my original coupon however which was a bit irritating. They have good selection and decent prices but don’t rely on the sales people…
