A Peer Recovery Support Specialist (P-RSS) is an occupational title for a person who has progressed in their own recovery from substance abuse or a mental disorder and is willing to self-identify as a peer and work to assist other individuals with chemical dependency or a mental illness. Because of their life experience, Peer Specialists have expertise that professional training cannot replicate.

Ashley is a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (P-RSS) who is passionate about helping change lives and support people to Get their HOPE back; using her own experience with metal illness to counsel those who are in recovery from substance abuse and mental health disorders. Aware that mental illness does not discriminate, sharing the ups and downs, joys and tears is something that cannot be learned, only experienced. With a BA in Speech Communication, a minor in PR/Advertising, a post-graduate in Education and an MBA in Organizational Leadership, she is uniquely qualified in many areas.
