Encore Gymnastics Academy

My daughter has been going here for 3 years. She started with a summer camp and loved the gymnastics and the instructors so much that she continues to go there. The staff always greet us with a smile and hello. They know who my daughter is — and she is not on a team because of our time constraints. The coach she had when she first started is still there. I can’t compare to the other facilities in the area I just know we are happy we found a place we are happy.

The facility and equipment are out dated and the set up of equipment makes no sense. The owners are truly incompetent, especially when it comes to the sport of gymnastics, along with how to run a successful gym/​business. Let’s not get started on their utter lack of people skills and professionalism. As long as you pay on time, they could care less about you or your gymnast.
They currently do not have any qualified coaches with the exception of their tot coach. That is as long as it’s not Sandra coaching.
There is not ONE qualified coach that works there. The coaches that are employed are unsafe, too young, and have ZERO gymnastics background. Would you want Chelsea, a cheerleader with no gymnastics experience whatsoever as your HEAD COACH of their competitive team??? Or an ice skater (again, not an ounce of gymnastics or coaching experience) Amanda, as your other competitive coach? Any coach with talent and experience has left and the turnover rate of all employed by Encore is absolutely insane. Not only do coaches leave, but entire teams leave as well. This is unheard of in real gyms.
If you are serious about your child getting a quality gymnastics experience, go anywhere but here. You will truly regret dealing with Mike, Sandra, or Chelsea. I promise.

I hate to be a broken record, but every one of the previous reviews is true. There are a few great coaches, however for the most part the great ones don’t stay because of the incompetent ownership. The owners seem to be most concerned with getting as many kids as possible on the team so as to line their pockets rather than giving the kids quality coaching. I can attest from recent experience when trying out several other gyms in the area for my daughter to move to, that from a coaching standpoint, this gym is the worst. The team Coach, Chelsea, does her best (and is fabulous), but it’s impossible to give quality coaching to dozens of kids when the owners fail to hire professional coaches to help, and instead rely on high school children, and the owner who has obviously not done a day of gymnastics in her life, to make their coaching quota.
They also, because they don’t like me questioning them, felt the need to disparage my daughters character, which as any parent understands, is a deal breaker. I would definitely look at other options as there are numerous other gyms in the area for you to invest your money on your child’s gymnastic education. If you are looking for good customer service and overall quality coaching, this is not the place.

My two daughters have been in Encore for close to two years and love it! I question the one star reviews validity as we have had nothing but a positive experience with Mike, Sandra and all the coaches. My kids are now competing in meets and I truly believe they got there by hard work, determination and the wonderful insight and instruction by their coaches.

Encore is one of the worst run gyms in the Denver Metro area. The owners Mike and Sandra have demonstrated time and time again that they do not care about the sport of gymnastics. They have had good coaches over the years but can’t keep them. The staff turnover speaks for itself. It really is a shame because they have a great facility and there is a need for it. However if they were the last hope for my daughter to compete, I would have her change sports.
Before you take your child here ask how many kids on the team are returning from the previous year and how many left from the previous year.

My daughter attended Encore for Six years and the owners never even knew who she was. This gym doesn’t care about their gymnasts or coaches all they care about is taking your money each month. This gym is definitely not the place to send your children if you want them to be competitive. The owners continually lied to me and the rest of the team parents and should not be in this business because they have no clue about competitive gymnastics or how to run a business.

The people are nice, but they lost their boys coach, and the program is non-​exist any. Mike the owner needs to figure out how to treat his customers too. In three months, never even introduced himself to me. The space is too small and the equipment was not sufficient for what they were trying to do. Kids were always waiting to get on equipment. Try it out in the girls, but not for boys maybe.
