Collegiate Academy is a college preparatory K-​12 school using the Core Knowledge curricular framework in grades K-​6, blending Core Knowledge with our Pre-​AP program in grades 7 – 8, and culminating in a strong and diverse AP and Honors program in grades 9 – 12. CAC balances rigorous academic expectations of our students with small class sizes and individualized attention to help students meet and exceed our academic standards as well as their personal goals.

History

Established in 1994.

CAC was founded in 1994 as a community-​run charter school for grades 7 – 12. In 1999, CAC relocated to our current location and added grades K-​6. We also re-​defined our focus to target college-​bound students who were not finding success in traditional schools. Today, CAC continues to offer a strong college-​focused program from an early age.
