Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar- Southwest Plaza

Bad Daddy. Why not? A chain. So what? These are not my issues here. The dry burger is. The lack of taste is.
Let’s say I ordered the wrong one. Then again-it’s not my fault. If you put something out there to be had by a customer then it better be good. Or at least salt the darn patty.
I had the Magic Mushroom. I perked up when I read one of the mushrooms is the shiitake. Shiitakes are bold in flavor. Earthy. There was a good amount of it. But the taste was stripped? What kind of shiitake was that? Looked like mushroom but missing the mushroom taste! Ahhhh… Makes me mad.
The service was awesome. Attentive and ever present. So badly unmatched. Our server deserves to work in a business that makes tasty burger.
Their fried pickles though… Get this!

Just want to say; I am a fan of Bad Daddy’s Burgers. The food is good, the service is good and the prices aren’t bad. Go check them out next time you are looking for a good burger.

Best burgers around! Been to 2 locations and both have been on point each time! I definitely recommend having a burger here!

Just went with the family. Service was below average and more importantly the burger was average and I’ve eaten a ton of burgers. I tried to just get a basic burger to let the burger talk and it didn’t help they overlooked it but regardless it didn’t have any distinct flavor. The sweet potato fries were good and I liked their house slaw but a place like this has to have good burgers and it didn’t. Bummer.

The Burgers, Beer, and Atmosphere was great. I love the different varieties of Beer and the Burgers were delicious. I love how even though they made my wife’s order wrong, the manager comped are beers and her burger, and on top of that gave us two comp coupons for any dish when we come back.

Today has been a pretty crappy day. I came into Bad Daddy’s at south-​west plaza with some friends and we sat on the patio with a server named Cheyenne. The service was absolutely phenomenal. I really want to applaud her for everything she did. Every time I needed something all I had to do was look in front of me and it was already there. So a big shout to the server Cheyenne for such great service. You are the real MVP. Thanks for a great experience.

I would probably have given this place a 5 star review if they hadn’t messed up my order. But what I did get was pretty tasty.
There were four of us in a group. One child got a kids menu item, the other child made his own burger with two cheeses. I ordered a make my own and my wife picked a menu burger.
We also ordered up an order of the truffle fries which were pretty good. It definitely helped with the wait time.
Once the food came there was confusion over who was to have which item. Three of us who had burgers all got the wrong one. We switched plates around and the server noticed right away that the two make your own burgers were not made right. They seemed to have switched the toppings. He offered to have mine remade. Considering I didn’t want to wait, I told him that I’d just take it as is.
Maybe a minute later I’m approached by the manager who apologizes for the mixup. He asks if I’d like a new burger and I tell him I’d rather not wait. He then tells me that he’s going to take care of mine.
The burgers were pretty good. I got a buffalo burger with bacon. I chose medium and it seemed pretty well done. In my experience buffalo burgers are usually more pink than a normal burger. Mine had none at all. I noticed one of the major complaints on Unilocal is the cooking.
In the end the manager ended up taking care of my burger and offered us desert to make up for the mistake. There was enough effort shown that this place deserves at least the four stars I’ve given it.
All in all… good food, decent atmosphere (extremely loud), and should they mess up they’ll at least acknowledge it and make an effort to fix it. Wish I could say that about other restaurants.

Appetizers and environment were enriching but the burgers were terrible. You can’t call yourself a burger joint if you don’t know what medium rare is. You shouldn’t offer the option to get a burger that way if you can accomplish the color and temp. Also the burgers were very small for the price. Hopefully they read this review and improve upon there main entrée.

Just tried this restaurant for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! They have really great burgers and tots! I made my own burger but some of the signature burgers looked amazing!

I was a little underwhelmed by the queso, but I adored the Buffalo chicken wings. Be sure to ask for them crispy because even then they weren’t quite crispy enough for my taste. The Buffalo sauce is perfect as is the blue cheese dressing that comes with the celery sticks. Highly recommend.

Just ordered a Cheeseburger on Steroids. It came to the table cold. There is just no excuse for that for a $ 13 burger. The staff in this place really bad. I think they need new management.

We started a paleo diet and decided to try bad daddys. Got to say the staff was super accommodating. We did the whole no bun lettuce wrap nothing with any sugar things and were still served a juicy lettuce wrapped burger exactly as we ordered it. It was a weird and difficult order but they kindly took it and got everything right. Patty was big and juicy and the (paleo acceptable) sweet potatoes fries very nice as well. Brian the manager came over to make sure all was well executed. Good service, good burger.

Their cooking temps are very much off. Well done shouldn’t have any pink. Mine had quite a lot. I ate it anyway because at least it wasn’t red but I probably should have said something (and yes, this time they asked & I specified which was good, but what’s the point in asking if they don’t go by the same scale as the rest of the world?). My guy’s medium well definitely erred on the medium side…
Burger was fine, sweet potato fries were good, and to their credit quite a lot for the side order. Likely equivalent to a full sweet potato in that bowl… the chipotle ranch they were served with didn’t do much for me, so I gave it to my man who happily made sure it didn’t go to waste.
The food was good, but seeing as we don’t live super close, we’ll probably not be back anytime soon.

These burgers are ON FLEEK! I used the «create your own» checklist, and I’m so glad I did! I piled on extra cheeses, applewood smoked bacon, a fried egg, and some grilled onions. Let me tell you, this burger was so juicy, it was literally running down my wrists. The entire roll of papertowels they put at the table is certainly justified. At first I was all like, how am I supposed to eat this? I’m getting so messy! But it tasted so good, I reverted to caveman Melissa and nomnomed until it was all gone, pile of papertowels to show for it. My husband was doing the same thing over on his side of the table, and I actually noticed the lady sitting next to us was trying not to laugh. But hey, sometimes you have to just put aside your pride and scarf down some fabulous food. Oh, and the milkshakes… WHAAAAT. SO GOOD.

New place, fast service, usually busy on weekends but short wait time. Great atmosphere, yummy food, fresh, all the servers are nice, attentive and make this place that much better. Great burgers, make your own, name it and enjoy it!

We were passing through to the ski resorts when a friend we were meeting up suggested we try this new establishment for lunch while visiting her.
We had a wait for about 20 minutes, which gave us time to look over the menu and they encouraged us to sign up for their loyalty club while waiting, which gave us a free appetizer, yay! We had a group of 9 so 20 minutes wasn’t bad and exactly on the dot, we were seated in the sun room area of the restaurant which was perfect with the weather that Colorado was blessed with that day.
We decided to go with the Daddy’s nachos as well as an order of their green chili fries. Both were good, however the nachos needed more chips and our waiter told us that we couldn’t get any more, which was disappointing, seeing as there was a lot of stuff left on the plate and they didn’t put a lot of chili on the fries so it was like we just ordered a side of fries.
The regular menu is huge and they even have a make your own sandwich option where you can name it as well. Majority of our party did that while I stuck with their Emilio’s Chicken Sandwich which was huge and very good. One of the people in our group didn’t get what they ordered sandwich wise, and the cook came out, apologized, gave her a completely new order of it and didn’t charge us for the mistake. That is great customer service and a great move on their part to admit to their mistakes.
The prices won’t break the bank, the drinks are always flowing and you will leave with your stomach feeling happy!

Hooray burgers! The Lakewood/​Littleton area seems like a restaurant desert (there are a few gems, but not many) compared to other parts of town, so Bad Daddy is a welcomed oasis to that desert.
I enjoyed their burgers at the Cherry Creek location and am equally impressed with my six slices of bacon burger at the Southwest Plaza location. The place was really busy, but our waiter was attentive and got our food out quickly. My burger was excellent and prepared as ordered. The fried pickles were also top notch.
Overall this place is great and probably has a better burger than many other establishments in the area.
