Established in 2005.

Meet the Business Owner

Kristina S.

Business Owner

Kristina Scala co-​founded Aspen Academy in 2005. She founded Bear’s Student Enterprises in 2008 and then founded the Aspen Youth Leadership Institute in 2012. Currently, Kristina is the Head of School at Aspen Academy and the Director of both the Aspen Youth Leadership Institute as well as Bear’s Student Enterprises.

Kristina’s lifelong goal is to inspire students in an education with infinite consequence. She has made her life work the creation of the nation’s strongest programs in the areas of academic rigor, character and leadership development, and community strength and service.

Prior to entering the world of education 15 years ago, Kristina was the Sales and Marketing Director for Naked Foods, Chiquita, and Rudi’s Organic Breads. She was also the Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Brandon Systems Corporation. She possesses a BS degree in Business Administration from California State University, Chico, CA.
