We have established our company with the focus of the needs of the community in which we live and serve. It is important that we provide a beautiful tribute to ALL lives well lived. Cost should never dictate what choices a family makes, so we’ve structured our pricing to fit the needs of families and allows them to provide a tribute they find fitting without the financial burden.

Hello! My name is Miles A. Harford and I own and operate Apollo Funeral & Cremation Services. Ever since I was a young teenager dealing with the loss of a loved one, I learned the importance of the funeral at a young age. From the moment I knew I wanted to help families through a difficult time. Death is never easy and often times can be very emotional but I am here to guide families through a tough and dark time and help create a meaningful tribute. There are many decisions to be made during this time and I am here to simply make families aware of their options so they can select those that they find fitting.

My Father in law passed away recently and I called several funeral homes, they all were pretty impersonal and hard to speak with. When I found Apollo on Google and spoke with Donna, I was immediately put at ease. She was fantastic to speak with and very sweet but not fake like the others. They were able to meet our immediate needs and were even a bit less pricey. When we met with Miles for the first time, he was so professional yet very comforting for my family. He helped us every step of the way and made this sad process a little more bearable. Thank you so much for being so wonderful to my family!

I cannot emphasize how great Miles was during my father’s passing. He is the epitome of a professional. Not only is he very respectful but also very compassionate. We can be demanding customers and Miles exceeded all of our expectations. He was thorough explaining all of our options, upfront about his pricing, and excellent in delivering what he promised. In the end, we were able to honor my father during his passing in a respectful and very affordable way. This would have been very difficult to accomplish in the short time period we had to prepare without the expertise, compassion, and professionalism of Miles Harford. I cannot recommend him enough! Miles is now a part of our family and we will keep him close for those unfortunate moments when his services are needed.

So, when my brother passed away unexpectedly I scoffed at myself when I went to Unilocal to find a funeral home. I thought surely there would not be reviews for such an establishment. I have no idea why I thought that and clearly I was wrong. I found the reviews for Apollo Funeral Service, got in touch with Miles and immediately felt comfortable with having him assist us through this difficult time. My mother and nephew both commented on how kind, compassionate, and professional Miles is. He was conscientious of our budget, and made sure everything worked out the way we needed it to. He has a very calming presence. It’s hard to imagine wanting to go into a field like this, but it is clear that Miles takes his profession very seriously and a primary goal is to help families in their time of grief. He is a great person and runs an excellent business.

The day my Dad passed away was a horrible day. I was not only overtaken by heartache, but I was completely unprepared for what was before me. I had never planned a funeral service for one of my loved ones and I was not at all ready to plan one now. I had ZERO plans made. I had been with a friend when she was making all the plans for her mother. From the memory of her experience, I was dreading the day when we had to meet with the funeral director. I spoke with Miles the day of my father’s passing and we scheduled a meeting for the very next day. I was scared and I was NOT ready for this meeting. However, we walked into a chapel and was greeted by one of the friendliest young men I have ever met, this was Miles. From the initial meeting and all the way through to the service being over, Miles never let us down. He is extremely detail oriented, listened to every word you said and concern you expressed and had options and answers, had a balance between compassion and professionalism, understood when you were sad and enjoyed the laughter and the stories about your loved one, and his prices were incredibly fair. Fair in today’s market is just a word you don’t hear and I promise he is fair. From beginning to end, every transaction was PERFECT. No detail left out. His level of communication was top. I made contact several times just to ask a very important, but very simple question and he ALWAYS responded quickly and warmly. I lost my Dad who was also my best friend. I just didn’t know how I, plus my family, was going to get through this difficult time. It was hugely made possible by the wonderful direction and advice of our funeral director Miles. My family will be forever grateful to this wonderful young man. He will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.

This is an amazing company. They are priced better than so many, they are patient, kind, extremely helpful and professional ! I’d say they went above and beyond for us.
Thos was an incredibly sad and stressful time but Miles and the rest of the staff made the burial of my father the least of my worries.

There is no more challenging time than when you are making the arrangements after the death of your spouse. Even when you know it’s coming — it’s just a difficult thing to do. But Miles and his staff at Apollo are exemplary at their work.
My husband passed at home at 1 in the morning. The hospice nurse did all the work she was required to do and then asked me «Which funeral home would you like me to call for you?» I had been doing research (but like many felt I had more time) and I thought a minute. I didn’t want a large chain. I didn’t want my husband to be just another cremation. I had the nurse call Apollo and before 3 a.m. two Apollo employees were at my front door — in suits and ties. They quietly and respectfully explained what they would be doing. They were so considerate of my feelings. When my husband was leaving our home for the last time, they offered me the opportunity to say goodbye again — I couldn’t do it — and they just understood.
The next morning Miles and I were on the phone. I asked what time he needed me to arrive at the funeral home to make the arrangements. Imagine my shock when he said, «I can come to you.» Seriously. Miles came to my home and in a caring and compassionate manner went over each detail with me. He answered every question I asked.
The day of the funeral Miles met me at the church with my husband’s ashes. He wanted whatever he could for me to be smooth and hassle-​free.
Lastly — I learned it’s ok to ask about expense. It might seem tacky — your husband just passed away — but it’s NOT SOMETHING you should be embarrassed or ashamed to ask about. And Miles does not shy away from this. He explains to you what the fees cover. And here’s the thing… with Apollo you get far more than what you pay for. Kindness. Compassion. Knowledge. Professionalism.

I was faced with the loss of my 96 year old grandmother. She lived a wonderful life and passed with family at home. I was immediately overwhelmed with stress as I had to take care of everything on my own and had no idea what to do. I searched online and found Miles at Apollo Funeral. OMG from the moment he picked up the phone I knew I found the right person. He was professional, caring, and he took care of EVERYTHING. He talked to me and guided me through this process with amazing compassion.
From a business perspective Miles finds a way to fantastic work at about 60% to 70% of the cost of the corporate funeral services. I made a few comparison calls just to be sure and Miles was able to fulfill my grandmother’s wishes several thousand less than all the places listed on the Boulder County paperwork I was given.

Wow. I would have never thought that during such a tough time in life that I would be so inspired to write a review on Unilocal.After the passing of a relative, our family called Apollo after reading the 4 other reviews here on Unilocal.They showed up dressed respectfully in suits and were very very kind. They worked with hospice to arrange the process and reassured the family multiple times that our relative would be be treated with the utmost respect. After they were done they remade the bed of our relative and left a red rose in her place. It was truly a beautiful gesture. Their kindness and professionalism extended throughout the entire process. I was truly amazed and inspired to run my own small business with such integrity. Thank you, Apollo. Truly.

During one of the most difficult times one could imagine: the loss of a beloved friend, Miles Harford was an absolute angel: calm and supportive. Not only that, but he treated my friend as a person rather than «the deceased» and allowed me to share precious memories and discuss my concerns. Miles went out of his way to, not only accomodate my grief and my schedule, but to create a loving and reverent atmosphere befitting such a lovely man. My sister and I recently lost our grandmother. We contacted Miles at Apollo and he took care of us and all our needs. Right from the start his demeanor was calm, caring and compassionate. When we met with Miles, the owner, he immediately put us at ease with the process of caring for our loved one’s passing. He was both professional and compassionate and went the extra mile to see that we were well cared for.
