Allstate Insurance: Brian Weatherman

After having auto and renters insurance with Allstate for 3+ years one day I had to call again because I NEVER would receive my proof of insurance cards. While talking to her she noticed my address had not been updated in 2 years. She updated that for me and said something about how the new place I lived was a safer location than the last so it was over $ 300 cheaper for auto insurance at that location. I just had paid for my insurance the week before and she was happy to refund me the $ 300. I mentioned how I had lived at that location for the past 2 years and at a different location before that and would like a refund for the entire time. She said that because there was no proof of where I lived she could only go back something like 3 months. I kindly informed her that I had returns insurance with them at my correct address the entire time so the did have proof. She set me up with someone from corporate or something to talk about the refund. They said they would be happy to refund the entire time but for each premium prior to the one I just paid which was more than $ 300 over it was only approximately $ 12 per 6 months prior to that, conveniently since I had absolutely no way to prove otherwise. Needless to say I got ripped off and can’t prove it and now get all my insurance happily from State Farm.
And to make it worse, after being an extremely loyal over charged customer, I made it clear I was DONE! I wanted all my services canceled and I was moving on. The decided I still owed them $ 120 for something and promptly sent it to collections. I tell every person I know who asks about insurance to avoid Allstate at all costs.
