History

Established in 1998.

Over the years, many curious clients have asked about the unique name of the salon. Alan and DeVonda knew they had a great concept when dreaming about having their own salon in Little Rock, Arkansas, but they knew they needed a name to reflect both the fabulous founders. So, they decided to ‘cut’ a portion of each of their names and marry some letters together to make something marvelous! ‘DeV’ represents DeVonda and ‘Al’ stands for Alan. This family owned and operated salon has a very Steel Magnolias meets Manhattan feel to it. You feel comfortable, yet you’re certain to leave with a look that is current. Salon DeVal keeps their staff trained in trends ceaselessly with in-​house education. Their talents are celebrated nationally as their team travels to places such as NYC, Los Angeles, Nashville and Chicago.

Business Owner

This husband and wife team are the heart and soul behind the Salon DeVal feel. They opened the salon in September of 1998 and it’s been well received ever since. DeVonda specializes in color and highlighting, and the Keratin Smoothing Complex. Her warm smile and sense of style makes any client feel at ease instantly. You’re certain your hair is in good hands!

After receiving a bachelor of science in business administration at Arkansas State University, Alan went on to become a licensed cosmetologist in June of 2000. He specializes in haircutting, perms, Keratin complex smoothing systems and is a salon advocate for Sebastian products. He has trained under Nick Arojo in New York and Luis Alvarez with Aquage. Always coupling the cutting edge with the classic, Alan has impeccable tastes for a look that is timeless.
