I received a very immature and threatening private message from a person named Patricia N. I have pasted her message below for Unilocal users to see.
I wanted to clarify a few things, in case my original post was in any way unclear.
1.) I think it’s important for Unilocal users to be informed when someone who offers a professional service acts in a discriminatory way. I did not exaggerate any information about Dr. Hinson’s behavior in my post. Nor did I slander his name or discriminate against him. Sadly, everything I wrote was the exact truth. I did not speak hastily; in fact, I spent a lot of time thinking about his behavior before I decided that others should be warned. I was the victim and I believe this type of truth should not be censored. Dr. Hinson brought up the inappropriate topics (politics and religion) himself at both visits. Like most people, I’m not the type of person to reveal those types of sensitive beliefs to strangers, and it was very upsetting to me that he continued to pursue those topics even though I did not encourage him to continue. When I wrote that he and his staff generally made friendly light conversation in the beginning of my appointments, and then Dr. Hinson zealously and wrongly accused me of voting for Obama, this shows that there was a definite negative change in his tone. His eyes widened excitedly and his face flushed as if he was in a manic mode. I was very scared for what he would do to my teeth (fortunately no mistakes were made, but that’s irrelevant to the point since my review is about his lack of professionalism). And as a medical professional myself, I think it can be very dangerous for someone to perform a risky dental operation in this state. He acted without a doubt unprofessionally.
2.) Contrary to Patricia N.‘s extreme comments below, my review did not focus on Dr. Hinson’s dental education so that is irrelevant to the point, and a person’s education or title should NEVER excuse poor behavior. Also, for both of my appointments, I was scheduled within the same week that I had called.
«Patricia N.: Your review of R. Lee Hinson is being reported for having racist and slanderous comment. Knowing Dr. Hinson for over 30 years, there is not ONE racist bone in that mans body. You called him a „Psychopath“ and a „Racist“. He is a family man with two children and none of my friends (black, Hispanic, white or Other) have EVER heard or seen him act in such a way.
He IS loud — that’s his demeanor. He’s also Mensa (look it up) and completed the highest Degree in the nation (that’s MASTERS in INTL. Dentistry in which only (2) TWO… TWO…in Arkansas have). That’s Four EXTRA years after receiving his Doctorate.
Sometimes one get a little quirky when you are the best in your field. They say Einstein spoke fast and loudly. I’m sorry you weren’t tolerant and spoke hastily on a public board.
The main thing you will be reported for is SLANDER.
I’m passing this review on to over a hundred of our local friends who have NEVER heard him speak in the manner you have him speaking. They will help me remove you from Unilocal.

Just a reminder. It takes up to 3 – 4 months to get a regular appt with him and around town, when asked what Dentist to go to… they say Dr. Hinson. How come so many people use him? This Dr. is Booked SOLID. Ask yourself that. Perhaps you’ve got a little „reverse“ racism going on in your head. Check yourself next time. I WILL do everything in my POWER to get you removed.»

First of all — ignore the ranting’s of the lunatic below my post. He’s obviously off his nut and is a Critic wan-​na-​be. Today will NOT be his day.
I have known and gone to Dr. Hinson for over 20 years now and I trust no one…(let me repeat) NO ONE to touch my teeth but Dr. Hinson unless I have an emergency and he’s not available to me. I moved from Arkansas to California 20 years ago and every time I come back to Arkansas, I visit his lovely assistants in the office to see him for an examination. Dr. Hinson has done TWO sets of the most beautiful veneers on my teeth and still to this day I have people complimenting me on my beautiful smile.
Since I have an extreme problem with phobia in a Dentist chair, he’s the only one who can calm me down and make me more comfortable than I am in my own home. I can also attest to many others who will only go to him. Any one of his sweet assistants will also make you feel comfortable and treat you like a friend. They are a gentle and loving crew. Dr. Hinson is NOTHING like the post below describes. He is one of sweetest and loving Doctors I know.
MOST importantly — the quality of Dr. Hinson’s work IS amongst the best not only in Arkansas but possibly the US. The main thing you want in a Dentist is AN HONEST DOCTOR and the best work possible done on your teeth. He will tell you what you might need done «in the future» from what he sees in your x-ray’s but won’t (like other Dentists) do unnecessary work causing you to spend your money on something you don’t need. If you do need extensive work, he’s the one to go to.
Years ago when I needed a root canal — I barely remember him doing the procedure. (Yes, he’s THAT good… no pain)
Lastly, I have NEVER heard OR discussed Politics NOR Religion in that office. I cannot believe the person below on Unilocal could write such horrible things unless he had a personal problem with MY Dentist. Actually, I consider what this person wrote to be total slander and I plan to inform Unilocal of this issue.
This should be a forum to review a Professionals work, not the rantings of a total lug nut who obviously has some mental problems. For these things to be said of such a fantastic Dentist and family man, loved by those he meets, who strives every day to make his patients feel better and continues to know all the newest techniques in Dentistry, makes me very angry indeed.
I wish Unilocal would please remove the post. At least I can discredit it.
