The chips were fresh and hot, but the salsa was just average. I ordered the taquitos lunch special and it was delicious. The taquitos were a little thicker than I’m used to seeing at other Mexican restaurants, but that was okay. It just meant it had more chicken wrapped inside. The entrée included rice and beans, lettuce, pico, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, including the guacamole. I’ve eaten here before, but this was the best experience yet.

If you’re looking for great Mexican food look no further. Great food at great prices. Has the small restaurant charm. Friendly staff and great prices. I’ll be coming back for more.

First time trying this place. It’s two star Mexican food. Not too good but still edible. Three stars for effort. I ordered the deluxe burrito(the menu did not say it would be covered in cheap canned tomatoe sauce), and the waiter did not give me an option. Found out the hard way back at the hotel and ewww. I split it open and ate the chicken inside. My meal did not come with rice and beans apparently(odd). So I shared with the b\f. The rice is ok. The nachos were ok. Babe says his chicken/beef fajitas were ok as well.

I recently went here for the first time with a large group. About the only positive was the good company. Service was terrible. We had to continually ask to order food and drinks, as well as ask for refills, plates, napkins … you name it, we had to grab a waiter in passing and ask for it. Despite having 10+ people(which could make for a great tip!), the service was basically non-existent. The restaurant itself wasn’t very clean or inviting. I wouldn’t willingly choose Las Palmas to visit again. Extremely underwhelming.

Great service, tasty lunch specials, and great drink specials during happy hour. $ 1.50 domestic draws(including Dos Equis), $ 2.50 margaritas(frozen or on the rocks), and $ 3.00 big domestic beers. I ordered the Chili Verde chicken lunch special. It came with a generous helping of nicely seasoned chicken along with rice and beans and three tortillas. The children’s meals were quite adequate, nicely presented, and came with soft drinks. My wife’s chimichanga looked really tasty, and it must have been because she failed to share any with me!

One of the best Mexican restaurants around. This place had great food and their staff was very friendly. Our waiter was on top of things constantly and we never had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. I could find no reason to give this fine restaurant less than 5 stars — I will most certainly be visiting this establishment in the future.

Bland and not very tasty at all. 1 star is too many, but they made me give at least 1…

I live in Texas where we are very proud of our Tex-Mex and Las Palmas is right up there with the best. I go there regularly when I’m visiting family in Little Rock. Friendly staff, delicious food, and good prices. The only bad thing is the men’s room has been really dirty every time I’ve gone in there. If they could get that squared away, it would be perfect.

i used to come here all the time when i lived in the OC. haven’t been there in a while. i think the food used to be better. the nachos we got were really watery. chips were soggy. i am pretty sure there were zero spices on the chicken. it was overall not very good. they do, however, still have fantastic margaritas. that’s what pulled it from a 2 star to 3. they do have a really large patio. unfortunately, the view from the patio is of the parking lot of the food giant next door. there are plenty of places with better mexican food(la hacienda for example). so unless you are just close by and don’t want to go anywhere, you might try elsewhere.

This food is the best Mexican around. It’s even better than other Las Palmas. The staff are great and very, very nice. Their food is FRESH. They make their own taco shells to order. It is good food and the only knock is they sometimes serve it too fast. It’s THAT quick! Oh yea, their alcohol is cheap too!

Good food overall. The salsa is a bit flat which is the only reason my star ranking isn’t higher.

I recently moved to Little Rock from Baltimore. I find the lack of an online presence in this area shocking. It seems that no one knows how to use the Internet around here. In any event, I thought I’d try to start something new around here and post a review. This restaurant is right down the street from where I live, so naturally I wanted to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is good, especially for a Little Rock suburban Mexican joint. The atmosphere is somewhere between fast food and college hang-out, but it works for the place. Overall, a solid three stars… However the excellent service bumped it up to four stars. it is mediocre in comparison to food I’ve had in DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York, but overall it’s a solid place to eat; not to mention there are no other places nearby to grab a really decent margarita.
