Since 1962 Burge’s has been a fixture in the Arkansas food scene. Our Little Rock restaurant features a wide menu selection with a focus on our famous Hickory Smoked Meat sandwiches. We also offer the finest selection of Fried Catfish Dinners complete with our hickory smoked BBQ beans and homemade coleslaw. Our deli case is always stocked with popular items, including our homemade pimento cheese, and our famous Smoked Turkey Salad spread. In addition we feature homemade fried pies, fresh squeezed Cherry Limeades, and a complete selection of our finest smoked meat items. Hickory Smoked Turkeys, Hams, Ribs, Chickens, and Ducks… just to name a few. Our complete selection of smoked meats are also available to be shipped anywhere in the U.S. via our website. History
Established in 1962.
Alden Burge started smoking turkeys in his back yard, in Lewisville, Arkansas for friends and neighbors. Soon after, the requests kept growing, so he left his job and started Burge’s Hickory Smoked Turkeys and Hams. Now, some 50 years later, the rest, as they say, is history!

After a twenty year career as an investment manager, I was offered the opportunity to take over a successful brand, with two long running restaurants. I had been a regular customer at both restaurants for years, and regularly sent my investment clients Burge’s Smoked Turkeys and Hams for birthday, special occasion, and Holiday gifts. I didn’t hesitate, as I was well familiar with the quality of the product, and enjoyed the idea of continuing the legacy of a successful and popular brand.
