Started by Kerry McCoy during the recession of 1974 and with only $ 400, Fla​gand​Ban​ner​.com has become one of the nation’s best known flag companies selling American flags made in the USA, custom flags and banners, pennants, bunting, signs, military flags and gifts along with custom unit guidons and much more.

We provide you with services other flag companies don’t. Twice a year we call to check on your flags to see if they need repair or replacing, we offer in house repair services and if your flag cannot be repaired, we will retire it for you and send you a coupon for $ 5 off a new flag! We can answer any flag question you have from etiquette questions to what size flag should fly from your particular size pole and much more. We offer custom design services and local installation services.

History

Established in 1975.

Originally from North Little Rock, Ark., Kerry McCoy moved to Dallas after high school, where she attended Miss Wades Fashion Merchandizing School. She graduated during the 1974 recession and began working as a Betsy Ross Flag Girl when she could not find a job in her field.

After a trip home to North Little Rock, Kerry, somewhat discouraged by her situation in Dallas, checked the Yellow Pages to see how well flag businesses were represented in Little Rock. «Nobody did it here,» she said.

Determined to make a go of it, Kerry returned to Dallas long enough to quit her job. She returned to North Little Rock with $ 400, which she spent on a business permit, business cards (designed sitting on her mother’s living room floor) and order sheets. Kerry says that she spent many of the early days distributing her cards to Central Arkansas businesses.

Kerry McCoy founded Fla​gAnd​Ban​ner​.com with only $ 400 when she was just 20 years old. Her success is a shining example of what can be accomplished when we leave our comfort zone and make decisions through action instead of fear. To learn more about Kerry’s story see a Recent Speech she delivered for a high school commencement ceremony. Here is an excerpt from that speech: «Staying in business and making money was a lot harder than starting the business. For 9 years I worked part-​time jobs to help supplement my income. At this 9 year marker, I decided to go for it. Either make it or break it. I bought Yellow Pages ads in the seven surrounding states in the hopes of increasing my sales.» A year later she moved AFB to a storefront. Now with the business turning 39 next year, Kerry now has 25 employees and sells more than 22,000 products!
