Team Kralj Mixed Martial Arts

Before joining the kickboxing class at Team Kralj, I tried swimming, running, personal training, and random «fun» fitness classes. Everything got boring fast and classes like zumba and aerobics felt like a joke.
I’m four months into kickboxing class here, and it is still awesome. The program is tailored to be a good workout for any fitness level and skill. I’m always drenched in sweat and leave the class feeling more fit and energized.
Master H and Master K are incredibly encouraging so even on those days you feel a little slow or lazy, they pump you right back up to work your hardest.

When I heard that there was a mixed martial arts school opening up in Douglaston I got very excited. I had previously studied Chinese Goju Karate for 4 years, but due to a new job and other changes in my schedule I was no longer able to continue going on a regular basis. Team Kralj MMA was perfect for me as I work in Douglaston and the classes were offered at a convenient time for me.
The kickboxing classes are great for getting into shape. They offer a challenging workout that incorporates striking techniques and intense interval training. These kickboxing workouts are probably the most intense workouts I have ever done. Don’t let that scare you though if you are considering trying the kickboxing class. You are always encouraged to go at your own pace, and in time you will be able to keep up. In the beginning I had a really tough time keeping up but as time has gone by I have noticed improvement and the workouts have become fun.
The thing that really peaked my interest when I heard about Team Kralj MMA was the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes they were offering. As a student of Chinese Goju Karate, all my training had been in stand up fighting. I had always had an interest in grappling/​ground fighting but had never pursued learning it. The more and more I attend the BJJ classes, the more I love it. It is really an intriguing fighting style that makes you think, and is very physically demanding.
The school overall is an awesome place to workout. The instructors are top notch, and are great at motivating you. You always leave class learning something new and what you can improve on next time. It is a great learning environment and the people that workout here are extremely friendly. I am glad that I made the choice to start working out here, and I plan to continue for as long as I can. I have been going to this gym since June and I love it. Even in the first month I was seeing results. This gym helped me tone my muscles and lose weight. The class helped saggy become higher and firmer. Just in time for summer! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and push you to do the best that you can do. They are considerate to all levels and all types of physiques. I’m a big girl so some of the workouts were a bit hard for me so they showed me modified versions so I can still get the best workout I can do. While I was walking one day I hurt my knee so the instructors showed modified versions so that I would not put to much stress on it.
The instructors are such great people. They are kind and considerate of your concerns and injuries. They are understanding and want you to get the best workout you can. They truly wish you to lose weight and get healthy. If you don’t understand anything they take the time to explain it. While taking class they give tips on how to defend yourself so it’s not just a workout.
Not only are the instructors great, the people who take class with you are wonderful. The people are nice, helpful, and make you smile. I have been members at gyms and sometimes I didn’t want to go because some of the people attending were a bit uncomfortable to be around. However, this place has such a wonderful atmosphere with great people that I always enjoy coming to class.
I recommend this class to anyone, from the beginners to the pros, from the overweight to the fit. They will give you a great workout and get healthy. My body feels great and people are saying I have lost weight. They helped my butt look amazing in jeans. Simply for that reason alone you should come to class.

Master K and Master H have two different but complementary styles that go together like the ying and yang. They are both extremely kind and abundantly helpful. They always make sure you are properly performing a technique and are always taking time to help you improve. Classes are both fun and intense, you will be doing things you never thought you could before. It doesn’t matter how fit you think you are coming in, you will sweat and feel the burn regardless. No prior martial arts knowledge is required, you will learn everything you need from the best Masters around.
If you’re looking for fitness, look no further. If you’re looking for technique this is your place. Classes include Mixed Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing for adults. Each of the three will have you more fit, faster and better than ever before. Additionally, Team Kralj will be adding Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu soon as well.

Team Kralj Mixed Martial Arts is the best place to have a exciting, challenging, and empowering work out!!! You get a mix of everything from Taekwondo, kickboxing, and Mixed Martial (which incorporates brazilian jiu jitsu)!! From beginners it’s a great way to learn because Master H and Master K, are patient, understanding, and most of all they have no judgement! For all other levels its challenging every time, there is no day off when you step onto the mats. You give everything you have and the teachers give back more. They push you with enthusiasm and belief that you can reach your goals! Whatever it is, you’ll reach them because they guarantee results! You get so lost in the workouts that when class is done, you’ll want to stay for the next class.
But the greatest feature of Team Kralj Mixed Martial Arts, are their principles. They honor respect, self-​discipline, and honesty. The teachers really provide time and care for their students, they will listen to your concerns and help work with any type of injuries you have.
It is also a family friendly gym, when you come in they know you and know the goals you are striving for! They cater to everyone from kids to adults. There is a little bit of something for everyone. There are also seating areas for parents who want to watch their children or when waiting for the next class to start! In addition, to all the awesome qualities they offer, they are clean! The mats always feel like it’s the first class of the day!!!
In some other martial arts gym, they want you to pay an exuberant amount for taking one type of martial arts and even more for taking all the classes. But in Team Kralj Mixed Martial Arts, you pay one price and are able to receive all the styles of martial arts they have to offer.
