This horse boarding operation does not feed horses properly. Most of the horses are 200 pounds under weight… except for the horses that are easy keepers and do not require much food to keep weight on. You should not be able to see ribs and count ribs on a horse. Yes, the boarding rates at the Round Barn are very inexpensive, but with the high cost of hay and grain due to the drought, it is not possible to make a living boarding horses if you are only charging $ 350.00 per month. Someone is being shorted here, and it’s the horses. It’s sad to see the horses cheated out of getting enough feed. It’s incredulous to me that someone can be running a «business» like this and not feel guilty about starving horses.
