S&E A/C & Heating

I wish I could give less than one star. As you can see below I only used this company because my home warranty company referred me to them and I didn’t have a choice. I left a message at 8am Thursday and hadn’t heard back by 4:30pm. My HW company was able to get ahold of them and they scheduled a Friday morning appointment. Ok, could be worse. They came Friday and said our problem wouldn’t be covered because the a/​c hadn’t been maintained, which it has (we have records). I then called my HW company daily waiting for them to provide a decision on the claim. Day after day for a week they tried to get a report from S&E with no answer and no response. I called S&E multiple times and NEVER, let me be clear, not once did I get them to answer the phone or call me back. And the HW company had even escalated to their regional manager to get the report with no luck. The HW company even said that they have had multiple complaints about S&E. So after over a week with no report the HW company allowed me to use my own service company. They submitted a report, it was approved to them, but the pricing was too high. So the HW company goes back to this incompetent company who tells them the damage is due to lack of maintenance. I’m furious with both companies and will do everything I can to make sure everyone knows to steer clear.
I’m in the middle of a home warranty claim right now where the warranty company assigned S&E, and I will update at the end, but this has so far been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any air-​conditioning company. Multiple calls unreturned. The only reason I even actually got an appointment is because I called the home warranty company who called them. They came out Friday morning, and as of Tuesday haven’t even filed a report with the home warranty company so that the claim can be processed. I have called the home warren to company multiple times a day and they in turn have been calling this company with me, and never any answer. Again, if they actually do the repair or fix this mess I will update the review.

My warranty company sent out S&E and the technician quickly determined that I would need a part for the air conditioner and that they would request the authorization with the warranty company. Long story short, here we are into week two and turns out that S&E never sent the request over the my warranty company. They wont return my calls and they wont return calls or emails to the warranty company. It’s 100+ and this is how they treat their customers. It’s bad enough for me but it’s my pets that I am the most upset about having to endure the extreme heat in the house. Their dropping the ball and no follow-​up or concern is inexcusable. We now have another company were working with. Not Cool!!!(pun intended)

I have been using S & E now for a couple of years. The first time they came out, the service tech did not get our AC working properly. When I called them back after hours telling them I had my elderly mother living with me, the owner himself came after 10:00 pm and got it up and running.
Since then I use them for my spring/​fall maintenance and very happy. Staci in the office is nothing short of phenomenal to work with. She cares about the clients. Eric is awesome and I know I don’t have to worry about him trying to sell me something I don’t need.
Great company, caring staff. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!
