We’ve never had any real issues and love eating here every now and then as we’re from Cali. It isn’t true CA style Mexican food so don’t go there thinking that it is, please. It’s meant to be fast food just like any other fast food chain and this place is just as it should be. Way better than Taco Bell, which is it’s main competitor, as a lot of the food is freshly made and the hot sauces rock.

When the staff actually wants to sell you the food, it’s not too bad. I started out loving that we had a Del Taco open in Little Elm. We stopped in pretty frequently. But then something changed. I had to wait for 20 minutes in the drive thru one night. I just wanted to see how long it would take for me to be able to get an order in. Then stopped going after that night. I decided to give it a whirl again and, well I had to wait 15 minutes before anyone would even think about taking my order. So I just let them know through the speaker that I was going to Taco Bell. Perhaps there was a management change? Either way, not worth my time for fast food when I can go to a traditional restaurant in the same time.

Every time I’ve tried to go to this restaurant I’ve gotten poor service. Today the cashier couldn’t figure out how to ring up a burrito. It’s not like I ordered anything unusual.

Service has improved drastically and good fast food for a cheap price. I revoke my former bad review.

At first I was very impressed with Del Taco in LE. Good food, decent service for fast food. Lately it seems they have lowered expectations from their employees or perhaps a lack of leadership in instructing them on what they need to be doing. The last couple times we’ve gone the food was inconsistent in quality(one burrito was double the size of another), the staff is friendly but seems to be lacking in the understanding of what it is to be at WORK. Last time we were there it was about 8, there were about 4 employees. We were greeted by two piles of trash and the broom sitting up on the wall. We ordered and sat down and went to get hot sauce and ketchup. Granted it was close to closing, but ketchup was empty and the hot sauce bar was a hot mess. The kiddos in the back seemed more concerned with their phones and playing around with each other more then anything. We still go, but we are getting to the point where we don’t even think about going to eat there anymore. :-(

Food is decent but waiting for a small order of three tacos is crazy! You may as well go in because the speed of the drivethru is horribly slow.

I love Del Taco, but this location has the worst service. Out of the 10 times I’ve been here I’ve only received my order correct maybe 3 times.

First time here and its OK. The food is good and the place is clean but the service is SLOW. They also try to upsell you on meals so be careful.

Yes you, have to wait, but the food is consistently fresh and good. I’m not getting a burrito that’s been sitting under the heat lamp. Please note that they make their beans from scratch, roast their own chicken, and hand shred their cheese, etc. To me, fresh makes it worth the wait

Fast food made to order… my kind of place. A great place for an inexpensive meal that is made while you wait. The ingredients were fresh and the service was great. The wait time is longer then a typical fast food place but. they cook to order. Probably not the best place to go through a drive through.

I would have given them more stars but their service is horrible. I am a HUGE Del Taco fan. I was so excited when they opened this one less than a mile from my house. I have been missing it since we moved from CA two years ago. We have given this location plenty of chances and everytime there is something wrong. I have left mulitple messges for their corporate team and still no call back. Here is a run down of all our horrible experiences we have had since it first opened. 1. Wait time is horrible. One time it was a 30 minute wait just to order. 2. My husband found a LONG hair in is burger. 3. Mulitple times have forgotten to give us part of our order. 4. We have had cold fried on a couple occasions, warm fries but undercooked, cold fries uncooked, warm fries that were overcooked, and just plain cold fries. 5. They have forgotten, on mulitple occasions, sour cream on my burrito but charged me for it. 6. The manager had to ask my husband how he wanted his tacos made four different times. He eats the classic soft tacos no lettuce no tomato. After being asked four times we thought they would get them right. Nope, wrong, gave us three classic soft tacos with everything. 7. Chraged us for 2 Double Del Hamburgers when we just wanted their regular hamburgers. They corrected that but never gave us the difference. 8. Cold burritos and hard tortillas. 9. One time the girl working the drive thru window wiped her face and nose with her hand and did not wash her hands. That is something the teach you day one. Touch your face or trash wash your hands immediately after and than continue to work. 10. One time we asked for Del Scorcho(?) sauce and the girl at the drive thru window said Del Taco does not have sauce like that. Really? LEARNYOURMENU!!! 11. Management has no idea how to run this location. I have worked fast food(In-N-Out for five years) so I know what it is like. It’s not brain surgery and yet they can’t get their act together. Their employees do not know their menu and so does their management team and that should be one thing they should have to memorize their first week. Honestly, I don’t know how many more chances we will give them. Right now it’s looking like zero chances, espeically when their corporate office won’t return a phone call to one of their customers. What happen to taking care of their customers?

Their management team is professional and friendly! And I like that there’s a good variety on the menu, especially since I have finicky eating kids ;)

This place is GARBAGE. After waiting in line for over twenty minutes behind a single car in the drive through, the moron working the window rudely shoved a bag at us. After running my debit card for nearly $ 30, I asked her if this was everything, because our order was large. She insisted it was and slammed the window shut. I got home and discovered a third of the bag was full of sauce and napkins, and most of the food I paid for wasn’t there. Conveniently, this piece of crap restaurant has no phone number! Will never, ever, return here!
