Texaco Xpress Lube

Where do I even want to start with this one.
As with most quickie lube shops normal procedure is you pull around to the garage doors in back, leave your keys in the car and then you go inside. Most places have either had paperwork waiting on me to fill out or a service rep to speak to you. I spoke to a service rep that said we will get all your info right as your car is being pulled in.
Okay, fine.
I go and grab a seat and stick my nose in a book. Thirty minutes or so later I look up and my car had been pulled into the garage bay. NO ONE had come to speak to me and they where already putting oil in my car. This being the first time I’ve been to a Texaco I knew they had no information on previous oil change history and I use a full synthetic blend, not the regular stuff.
I get up and walk to the counter and tell the service rep that no one had spoken to me about my car and the oil change needed to stop immediately. He looked at me like I was an idiot and I said «look I use a full synthetic and I’m sure you’re putting regular in it.» He got off his sorry ass and ran and stopped the guy. I could see some eye rolling in the bay so I walked out there.
Everyone involved with the situation was passing the blame onto everyone else in the building as to why I wasn’t spoken to. It finally got to where I told them, drain whatever you have put in and put in the synthetic. This was where I was told that I would have to pay for the regular oil. I said either you drain it and put in what I’ve been using for three years and charge me the regular price for a synthetic change or I would not be leaving until a manager was on site. After some more eye-​rolling I stayed and watched to make sure everything was changed correctly. They then tried to tell me that I needed to change my air filter. I sat and watched while they ignored the label on top of the air box that clearly states that there was a cleanable air filter installed. All I said after that was put it back in the car and read the label on the air box between the four screws you had to remove.
I was amazed by the horrendous customer service and the lack of physical vehicle knowledge the staff seems to have. For all the headache I was offered a $ 5 coupon on my next oil change.
I won’t be back… ever. Normally I would tell others that I may not like a place but try it for yourselves. Not this one, stay away!
