Sound Learning Piano Studio is a locally-​owned piano-​instruction studio located in East DeKalb County. In business since 1990, we recognize that music study plays a critical part in the development of each child socially, academically, and developmentally. Our primary mission is to build on each child’s natural love for music and further foster a love of learning through piano education. History

Established in 1990.

The business began as Sound Learning Music Studio in Virginia Beach, VA. In 1996, Ms. Janis Palmore moved to Georgia and continued to teach. Her love for children and teaching piano continues.

Business Owner

Ms. J has successfully taught piano, voice and music theory to students for many years. Additionally, she has had extensive experience as an instructor, church pianist, as well as performing professionally on musical and operatic stages. Early music instruction and performance opportunities were the catalysts to lead her to the New England Conservatory of Music and Boston University’s School of Fine Arts.
