M & M Total Tree Service

Having done tree work and dealing with stump grinding as part of it in my teens, I have to admit I have some expectations around the outcomes. Never in my time of doing these tasks professionally did I approach the job in the way these guys did. They took no responsibility for their work, which was done in a thoughtless manner. M&M was hired to do a stump grinding at my house and to till the ground around where the tree stood. They did the grinding, but when it came to the tilling of the earth, they left a large mound of dirt in their wake. This mound was 2.75 feet high and roughly 3.5 feet across. This deposit completely negated the tilling in the areas of the deposit. Why would anyone pay to have a large dirt deposit placed on their property at the end of a job? This sort of outcome indicates to me a lack of pride, concern, or common sense on the part of this business. When my wife asked about this they more or less told her it was her problem and left the job site. When my wife called to try to rectify this issue she was rudely addressed and any requests for resolve of this issue were denied.
This business is irresponsible and does not care about their customers. The group that took the tree down will continue to get more work from us, as we have more tree projects coming up, however M&M will not get another penny from us. If you are looking for a fair, honest, and quality provider of stump grinding and tilling these are not the people to call. No matter what price they give you, if they can’t do the job right, which they didn’t, these are not the vendors for you.

M & M was called to complete a stump grinding job by the company that cut down a large tree for me. The two gentlemen that showed up were extremely dirty, but I attributed it to the nature of their work. They completed the job, but initially left a few large roots. They went back and redid them, but also pushed a large pile of dirt to the side of my lawn. When I commented about the dirt pile, I was told, «Don’t you have a husband?» That, coupled with a few other inappropriate flirty comments and wandering eyes (I believe his name was Art), left me feeling uneasy. I just wanted these guys to go. A few days later, I contacted M & M through their website and I was told to call Mark through an email. I called him and he explained that the state they left the area in was typical of stump grinding due to all the roots (which I can accept as I know nothing about stump grinding). After several attempts to get a word in, I tried to convey that I was also very put off by the unprofessional nature of the employees that did the actual job. These remarks were mostly ignored and went on unaddressed as I continued to listen to how I should accept the dirt pile and that M & M doesn’t do «clean up.» Mark offered to return $ 20 of the $ 100 I spent on the job, which I kindly declined.
I am so disappointed with how I was treated in both cases. I cannot recommend anyone do business with a company that treats their customers like this.

Great company! After getting numerous estimates, we went with M&M as they were the lowest by far (our real estate agent initially recommended them). They came out, were very professional, and did a great job. We decided to take out more trees and just used them again. Again, they were just as courteous as before. I can’t recommend them enough. Working with Chris and his guys has been a breeze!
