I was trying to help out a new business by buying plants. As they’ve bloomed, I’ve had at least two(expensive) varieties not bloom true to what I purchased. They also helped themselves to a piece of a very rare Plumeria they were shipping to Italy for me. They said it was broken but I hand delivered it to them to be shipped… that is simply a lie. Poor business people, not honest and knowledge is limited by only being a grower for a few years.

My experience with Bree Farmer, business owner, was so bad I felt I should add her business to Unilocal. I had successful purchases from Bree in recent weeks prior to this most recent(and final) purchase. I placed the order with my debit card via phone or facebook messenger. She promptly processed my order, and provided me with the tracking information on the shipments. This last order, however was a different story. When I asked her for the tracking number, she kept coming up with different excuses. Either she wasn’t home, or her computer was down, or she couldn’t access her email, or she had trouble logging in. It was always one lame excuse after another. The interesting thing though, was that she was able to post her plants on her Facebook page — all without access to Facebook or a computer. She then said«don’t worry I can always refund your shipping.» Ummmm — NO. If you didn’t ship it I want a FULL refund of shipping AND total costs of the plant. I told her I would follow up with her mid-week to let her know how I wanted to proceed. Tuesday afternoon I sent her a message as the recipient had not yet received the plant — this was a gift and it was being shipped to my friend. Bree got really ugly with me really fast. She tried to blow me off and tell me she would process my refund in a couple of days if it hadn’t been received — remember, this is a LIVE plant that is being shipped across several state lines. The more time it sits in a box, the less healthy it will be once it arrives. It was supposed to be shipped priority mail — arriving in two — three days max. I told her I wanted my refund immediately, and told her also that I no longer trusted her. She began«yelling»(in all caps over messenger) that I had to return the plant. WHATPLANT??? She couldn’t even provide proof of shipment, yet she wanted me to have my friend pay to ship this«phantom plant» back??? SERIOUSLY??? I finally told her to forget it. Forget the refund, forget everything. It was clear that she needs my $ 35 more than I do so it isn’t a big deal. Here’s what’s interesting — at the end of the messenger chat, she informs me that she received a voicemail from the USPS, and they told her the plant was stuck in Austin due to recent floods and inclement weather. How did she get that information without a tracking number??? All I wanted from the very beginning was a tracking number so I could provide the information to the recipient. I will NEVER deal with this woman again, and urge anyone who is interested in buying from her to check out the BBB website — she currently holds a C rating due to questionable business practices. BUYERBEWARE.
