Business Owner

Dr. Tulman established his practice in Lithia Springs in 1978. He is a member of the Metro-​Atlanta Optometric Society, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He has served in many elected and appointed offices, including President of the Georgia Optometric Association. He has, or is currently serving as a member of the GOA Board of Trustees, Southern Council of Optometrists Board of Trustees, and Blind and Low Vision Board of Directors. Dr. Tulman has been honored as Board Member of the Year for Blind and Low Vision Services and as Georgia’s Optometrist of the Year. He has received numerous optometric honors and citation of merit. Dr. Tulman served as a preceptor for the University of Alabama’s College of Optometry. He was chosen as one of the optometrist to serve on the medical team for the 1996 Olympic Games, treating athletes from across the world. For over twenty years, Dr. Tulman has provided the highest quality eye care available.

Tulman Eye Group has been my choice for optometry for the past 10 years. My overall experience has been wonderful! I continue to be very pleased with the staffs knowledge of products and love the wide variety frames. Most importantly, Dr. Saadat who I’ve seen the entire 10 years is professional and thorough to the point that he may make you watch a video or two for full understanding! LOL! As a matter of fact I recently moved to Las Vegas but flew back to Atlanta for my yearly eye exam-​now that’s a testimony!

The doctors are very good, but I would get my glasses elsewhere. I have bought many of the silhouette brand and find that the opticians at this facility do not do a very good job of putting these glasses together. They fall apart, and then every so many months I am back for repair. I get the usual, tiring admonishment about removing glasses off my face so they don’t stretch. I have been wearing glasses for 40 years. I know how to take off glasses. I have a pair of sunglasses that have lasted longer than this brand of glasses. Too expensive and are junk.

I visited Dr. Pamela Shepard for my annual eye exam. I am –7.0 in contacts, so it’s important that I go every year and adjust my prescription if needed. She spent a lot of time with me, despite a very busy afternoon in the office, and actually ended up adjusting my prescription down. She also gave me several samples of contacts to try, and scheduled a follow-​up with me on a Saturday so it wouldn’t disrupt my weekday schedule so much.
I would highly recommend this group, and Dr. Shepard.

The clinic has a very comfortable environment. The staff is very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Dr. Saadat is my doctor. He is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He takes the time to go over and explain my test results and answers any questions I may have. When I first started to see Dr. Saadat, he told me that I had Glaucoma. He explained patiently to me what this kind of eye disease meant and sent me to have laser done on my eyes and now he keeps close check on my eye pressure. I am confident in his examination. I recommended him to my son and daughter-​in-​law, I definitely would recommend him to anyone that I come in contact with that is looking for a doctor

I see Dr Shepherd. She is fantastic. In fact most everyone is. I did not give it 5 stars because the receptionist has been a little rude. Fortunately, everyone else, more than makes up for it.
Another reason I did not give all stars is that they take a little long. 2 hours and 20 minutes seems a little excessive. I do feel I get great service though and although I have never visited him, Dr Tulman seems like a genuinely caring Doctor.

When I got my glasses, I realized that this is the first doctor to actually get my prescription perfect. I wondered why he spent so much time with me in the office. He said he was concerned that my eyes seem to be worse that the glasses that I came in with. It turns out that my old doctors just never bothered to take the time to get my prescription right.
Tulman Eye also has pleasant staff that helped get the insurance right and did great helping me pick out glasses that look good on me. I can’t imagine getting better service anywhere else.

I have been going to Tulman for years. My main doctor is Dr. Saadat but have also seen Dr. Tulman. Both are very thorough in their examinations and explanations. Dr. Saadat was beneficial in getting me ready for Lasik and I cannot be more appreciative.
I have since moved from the Atlanta area but I return to the area frequently. When I am back in town, I try to make appointments during my visits because of the trust I have for the doctors and their staff.
