The mission of ONE — The Organization for Nonprofit Executives is to strengthen the community by fosterig collegiality, partnerships and innovation among nonprofit Chief Professional Officers in Arizona.

ONE is the only organization in Arizona exclusively dedicated to the needs of area nonprofit Chief Professional Officers.

ONE is a venue for sharing your experiences and expertise with fellow ONE members. We are also here to lean on for similar input and support. Each nonprofit, no matter what its focus, affords needs and opportunities for the kinds of shared support, resources and collaborations that are the hallmarks of ONE.

History

Established in 1999.

Conceived in 1998 by the Council of United Way Agency Executives, ONE was established to share with the larger body of Arizona nonprofit executive directors/​CEOs the support network previously available only to directors of United Way recipient organizations. The original group was joined by members of the Association for Nonprofit Executive Directors of Arizona resulting in the present Organization for Nonprofit Executives.

The original Steering Committee worked diligently throughout the year in 1999 to set up the organizational structure, fulfill legal requirements, and develop several committees that were focused on meeting the needs of the membership.
