True Note Music offers private violin and viola music lesson to beginners through college prep level students. We enjoy teaching students as young as 4 years old and especially welcome adult beginners to our studio. Teaching methods include the Suzuki Violinschool and traditional methods. Music taught and played can be whatever the student wishes: classical, jazz, celtic, folk, rock are just some of the genres covered. Always, a student’s specific needs and preferences are honored as we provide a nuturing learning environment for all levels of musicians to thrive in!

History

Established in 2010.

Established in 2010, the owner has 12 plus years teaching orchestra in a private school setting, has been guest adjudicator at both local IMEA and IHSA contests and has 20 plus years teaching private violin and viola lessons. Our student base now includes students from Orland Park, Palos Hills, Naperville, Lisle, Wheaton, Chicago and Park Ridge.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeannette H.

Business Owner

Jeannette has over 20 years experience teaching

in a private lesson setting and was String Ensemble

Director at Guerin Prep High School in River

Grove, IL for 13 years.

Jeannette attended Interlochen Arts Academy and

Indiana University, Bloomington majoring in music

performance while studying jazz with Dave Baker.

She has been associate principal violist with the

Civic Orchestra of Chicago and presently plays

with Bella Vita String Quartet, Candy Town, and

Synchronicity.

Jeannette knows the strengths and weaknesses

of a strictly classical musical education and brings

that knowledge to her teaching, creating a learning

environment where classical music discipline

and self-​discovery are equally valued and

encouraged.
