Winter is coming and everyone is trying to complete yard work. I was in need of bluestone stepping stones. Everyone could not have been nicer, from the receptionist in the office to the gentleman who came out to the yard to help me. He dug through the stones and picked out exactly the ones I pointed to so I could better judge the size. After my selections were made, he put them on the scale and gave me a price. I went back into the office to complete the transaction, drove into the yard, 2 men loaded my stepping stones, and I was on my way. Pleasant and easy.

The other day we were in the hunt for landscape blocks and looked at all the big box stores… relatively nice price but the look and feel of the materials was pretty unremarkable. So we broadened our selection. Ended up looking at the independents and found this one in Lisle — not next door to Orland Park but really worth the short drive.
Of all the places we visited, this one had a stone yard you could walk around and not be afraid of getting injured. These people really keep a neat yard. They have a great selection of stuff — from blocks, to bulk stone, pavers, and the like. They even have a patio of set up projects — like fire pits — both circular and square — and at different heights. Very nice selection and inventory. They also have a scale if you need to weigh your vehicle. As to price, they may be 20 percent higher than the big boxes, but the quality is here. The staff and yard peeps are very nice too… great customer service.
This is a good one and well worth remembering when you are looking for any stone or landscape material. We will use them again.
