History

Established in 2004.

Pump It Up is the pioneer in birthday party entertainment. Founded in Pleasanton, California in 2000, it was an immediate success, allowing parents to host children’s parties in a private, safe, and clean environment. Due to its popularity, Pump It Up began franchising in 2002.

We came to this place for a birthday party this past weekend. Sorry to say everyone was very disappointed. Kids included. This place is unbelievably tiny and uncomfortable! You stand in the waiting area/​front desk pretty much on top of each other with excited kids bouncing on you only to be escorted into a very, very small gym with two large inflatables, a small rock climbing wall and 3 benches for ALL the adults (everyone pretty much stood for the 2hrs). After this we were then led into a 2nd room a bit bigger than the other one for another 30min.
All in all. Kids said it was so-​so but they felt like they were in someone’s garage. Funny thing is I thought the same. It has a garage/​warehouse feel that isn’t very birthday party like.
The staff… well they’re a very different story. They were all great! The hostess was fast on her feet and quick to assist with setting up of food and beverage. The entire staff was awesome and friendly, they are the reason for the stars I DID give. I just can’t give this place more than 2 stars. It isn’t worth the price, sorry. Rent a bouncy house for your yard. It’s cheaper and you’ll be much more comfortable in your OWN garage. :/

What a great place for a kids birthday party! I was originally turned off by Pump It Up based on another location, this one doesn’t even compare!
Other locations have a huge room with kids from multiple parties bouncing together so my younger kids practically got trampled by a group of pre-​teens. I was nervous. Thus location is brilliant in that they have smaller rooms that are private to your party!
We went through two sets of bouncy rooms before heading into the party room. Staff was bet accommodating and personal touches like balloons fur every kid and then taking pictures really stood out. Great job staff!

We just had our son’s 4th birthday party here. It was fantastic!!! The staff was great with the kids and took care of everything — I just made food and decorations choices. They set up (and cleaned up!) the party room for me. They served the food. They even had garbage bags ready for all the gift wrapping. They even wrote down all the gifts my son got and who they came from, making thank you notes easy! We paid for a private party and we got one — we were the only ones in the place on a Saturday night. My son and his friends had a fantastic time on the inflatables — even my husband and I got to race on them a couple of times. My son climbed the rock climbing wall, surprising everyone at the party. He was very comfortable with the staff and knew them by name. I would highly suggest having a party here — our guests had a blast!

Open Play — A nice way for kids to get some energy out. Will definitely come here in the winter when it is too yucky to be outside. The place can feel a little dark and drab on the inside but it does not seem to slow the kids down. There are two rooms in which kids can play on the big inflatables, there is also a climbing wall. Open play is $ 6 per child, so it was $ 16 for my 3 and 1 year old in total for 70 minutes of open play. If my kid’s birthdays were in the winter I would definitely consider this for a birthday party idea.

I have only been to Pump it Up for their open jump on Tuesday mornings. It’s only $ 7 for open jump that starts at 9:30am and ends at 11:00am. Everyone must watch a short safety video before jumping. After the video the employee will walk everyone to the helping area. There are two large rooms with several different activities. The kids can race on two different obstacle courses, go down two slides, play basketball, swing a baseball bat, etc. I noticed a small rock wall but it was not available while we were there.
They have a new «eye play» for kids. This is a large interactive board for kids to play games.
Pump it Up also offers private rooms for birthday parties.
Overall– This is another great option for kids in a cold/​rainy day for a reasonable price.

Birthday party for 4 year old boy. Executed beautifully. Clean, well organized, and so easy on parents! All we had to do was bring the cake and they took care of everything else. The photography package is a must-​add on! I also took my own pics, but it was great to have another set of photos for a different vantage point.
The superhero package add-​on — was a little bit vague — I am still not sure what the kids got for that add-​on.
The staff was top-​notch and the kids loved them. I thought they were fantastic. Talk about making it stress-​free and easy!

This place is great! We do open jump here often and have been able to get great pricing on the 10 passes to make it more economical (groupon, Black Friday sales, etc). I prefer the non-​glow jump to the glow jump and wish they didn’t do the glow jump on Fridays because there are still a lot of younger kids at this time. The darkness makes it really hard to see, but I’m guessing the older kids love it so that’s why I didn’t take any stars off for their decision to do the glow jump. The special events are great and the staff is super friendly. My kids have a blast and even my husband and I love jumping and sliding too — it’s a great family activity!

My minions love going here. It’s a great way to get rid of excess energy.
Recently we’d gone to a glow party here. Each of the kids got a glow stick before the party started and then embarked on 1.5hrs of playtime in 2 black lit rooms. Crazy fun.
I like how the staff puts on an interactive safety video before the parties. They are wonderful at keeping things fun and safe. They transfer the kids from room to room seamlessly and in the party room they stay on top of handing out food and drinks.
I do wish they had more open play hours.

Super clean and such a great time!
I thought the staff at this specific location was OUTSTANDING, they were all young but friendly and attentive and SMILING !
The bathroom was so clean and the play areas too !
I love the hand sanitizer all over.
This is quite a drive from Chicago BUT worth it.
My daughter and her friends had a great time!
Be careful mapquest may give you the wrong directions too ! Call ahead!

Pump it up! Is a great place for a busy parent to host a kid’s birthday party. Inflatable jumpy jumps, a rock climbing wall, air hockey table (bring quarters) and a few things for really little kids. It’s great that your party feels like you have the place to yourself (no mixing with other parties or free jumpers or anything).
Of course you pay for convenience but for us, it worked out great. Plenty of room for a ton of kids, they helped me to order pizza, hot dogs, soda, ice cream cake and even goodie bags. The employees were all helpful and nice as they anticipated our needs and offered assistance like wrapping left overs and carrying gifts to the car.
My son, the birthday boy, was given an inflatable crown and scepter. He declared himself «The King of Pump It Up!» I’m sure your little one will also feel like a King (or Queen) to have their party here.

I kind of love Pump it Up. But don’t tell anyone, because I’m 21 and it might be socially unacceptable. I bring kids here all the time when I’m babysitting because it’s a great time for a great value! $ 7 per child during open jump and I, as the adult, get in for free. Joke is on them… I do more jumping than the kids!
They have great inflatables and friendly floor staff. Always willing to help and really seem to love what they do– which is hard to find in staff who probably make minimum wage to deal with crazy kids all day. Their front counter guy is a little more «eh.» He’s not bad, not mean, he’s just kind of there to rush you along and not care about what you’re asking him. Also, their website is frequently wrong, so if you really need information I would call to clarify. So many times I’ve made the drive out and the times on their site have been listed wrong so we get 45 minutes of jumping instead of 1hr 45mn.
But, all in all, I recommend Pump it Up! to everyone I know.
Also, since I’m going to put this on my disability friendly list, they are great when I bring kids with disabilities here when working. Once I lost a chewy and they turned the place upside down looking for it. The staff is great with the children I work with and always understand if we need an extra minute or two to get out of an inflatable. There have been times when the staff is more than willing to hop in and help in a difficult situation, and even to play if a kid asks nicely on a slow day! Very friendly, nice, and accommodating.

We went here for a birthday party. I thought it was great for the kids. You know the deal. 45 minutes in one room with a bunch of inflatable slides, bouncy things, etc. Then 45 minutes in another room with a lot of fun inflatable stuff. And then 30 or 45 minutes for pizza and cake. The kids really enjoy it. You do feel like you’re pushed through the place, but its a business and they gotta keep you moving.
