Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) is the real estate data aggregator and distributor providing the Chicagoland multiple listing service (MLS) to nearly 40,000 brokers and appraisers and 8,000 offices. MRED serves Chicago and the surrounding «collar» counties and provides property information encompassing northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and northwest Indiana. History
Established in 2008.
MRED is the result of a consolidation of two existing MLSs, MLSNI (association owned) and MAP (privately/broker owned). MLSNI had been in existence since the late 1980s, MAP since the late 1950s. There consolidation creates one of the largest real estate data aggregators and distributors in the US.

Manager
Russ Bergeron is the Chief Executive Officer of MRED. He is known throughout the world for his leadership in bringing technological advances to the multiple listing industry. In recognition of his leadership and innovation, he has been named one of the nation’s 100 Most Influential Leaders in Real Estate for the years 2009 through 2013 by Inman News.
Russ serves on the boards of directors for: Council of MLSs (CMLS); Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO); and MLS Domains Association (dotMLS). Russ currently sits on advisory boards for Realtor.com, Trulia, Supra and CoreLogic/Realist®. He is a member of the Illinois Association of Realtors® Strategic Planning Committee and the Realtors® Property Resource User Advisory Council.
Prior to joining MRED in 2010, Russ was the founding CEO of Southern California Multiple Listing Service (SoCalMLS), a position he had held for seventeen years.
