Flore’s Pizza & Cucina Italiana

Ok, I don’t leave reviews often, but every now and then I find a place that really deserves a good review and doesn’t have one yet (because there are no reviews, not bad reviews). This place is one of those places and it is a hidden gem! I’ve only gotten delivery so far but definitely plan to stop in and eat at some point. The pizza is excellent and the prices are even better. For you pizza snobs out there, like myself, the pizza is what I would call, «Beach Pizza.» I’m from Florida and all of the best (some famously mob owned) NY pizza places are on the beach. It’s got that perfect crust! I see this style of pizza being mostly zoned out east in Jersey also, but you’re «shore towns» are closed 80% of the year for some reason… So here’s where you go the rest of the year! :) I am a calzone snob also. I like calzones with the right balance of ricotta and mozzarella that so many people screw up — these guys have it down pat! :) And for those of you that are all like, «no it’s the sauce that makes the calzone good,» ok well the sauce is also very good and def not that marinara/​vodka tasting nightmare that «wings and pizza» places make too often. They’re canolis are bakery level. And they’re garlic knots are honestly the best I’ve had since I’ve moved up here (including Philly). They keep it simple and I’ll keep coming back. Thanks, guys! :)
