Small, quaint beach. Great playground for kids. Clean. The food was decent with fair prices. Bar prices fair as well. Nice staff. Really good place for live music. Tables and chairs available, don’t necessarily need to bring a chair, but keep one in the trunk… just in case. The person managing the facebook page needs to be upgraded to a more positive professional… seen a couple of negative slanders in their promotions.

Beach This is one of the beaches sitting on the Great South bay — so no wave action. The beach proper has a ton of rocks — like very annoying rocks. You will need flip-flops or something to walk the beach sand. I’m not sure why they cannot rake those out or something. The best part about Venetian Shores is that you can go for music and food on the beach. There is the Beach Hut there which has live tunes, a small to-go bar, and food. There are a lot of tables outside on the patio area to sit and eat. The bands are all over the map, so check ahead. All in all a decent beach — you will need a town parking pass during the day to park there however. After hours, parking is free. Give it a shot if in the area. Parking lot.

Visit Date: June 27, 2014 Went here last night with hubby and some family members for a night of music and dinner on the beach. The beach itself is a little bit rocky. Not rocky like giant rocks by the Montauk Lighthouse but the beach has a lot of little pebbles and stones. The beach itself isn’t all that big either, it’s big enough but not a giant beach. The real draw for Venetian shores is the beach hut which serves food and the live music they hire at night time. I had the kale salad which was really good, everything was fresh and they put cashew nuts in the salad which was a good protein option. I also split french fries with hubby but the fries were okay, they really weren’t worth the calorie splurge though. The live music was cool but really loud. I guess I should expect loud music for an outdoor event but I really don’t accept loud music unless I’m at a concert(that’s just my personal preference though). So for food and entertainment this place is a good scene, for beach relaxation I’d choose another LI beach.

It’s not an ocean beach but it’s a nice place to cool off and listen to live music, grab some food, or some drinks down by the bay. It’s a much shorter drive than the ocean beaches and has a cool spray park for the kids. There is also a park, basketball courts, and a softball field.
