I went out with some family friends who happened to be new subscribers to this«new» theater in town. I saw«45 Seconds from Broadway.» Cute show! Native New Yorker, of course I loved it being set in the city with Broadway as the theme. Note that it is above the bridal shop and there is a long staircase to the theater and no elevator. They do have a chair lift if you need assistance getting up stairs. A couple blocks from the Long Island Railroad. Street parking. Small waiting room upstairs. 6 long rows with no bad seat in the house. The stage spans the whole room and row of seats. Oddly enough the concessions stand for this performance was on the stage. It was sudo a part of the scene — NYC café. The artistic director came up and shared about behind the scenes story for the next performance coming to the theater. He explained the concessions, introduced a few folks. And the show began… Let’s just say it was a unique beginning. For an amateur theater, the cast was pretty good. And this show was a pretty funny play. All in all, I’d come back and recommend you try a show here once.
