Kehl’s Family Boating Center

I am 50 years old and buy many many recreational vehicles example atv’s, motorcycles, wave runners etc. I just recently purchased a 24′ crownline deckboat from Tom Kehl and can honestly saw it was the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. There was no pressure, stress, etc whatsoever. Tom answered every and any question I ever asked and never acted like a salesman. Plus after pricing this boat with other dealers Kehl was definitely the cheapest. I highly highly recomend this place.

Really nice guys! We bought a boat privately from someone and trusted they were doing the right thing. We are new to boating and thought that boat owners were supposed to look out for each other. Long story short, we didn’t have a mechanic look at the boat first and it was a disaster. It was never maintained properly and a lot of things were not working properly or broken and disguised as being in working condition.
After bringing our boat to 4 different marine repair places and being told that they refuse to work on it, we had given up. We went looking for a replacement boat and were going to sell this one for peanuts to salvage our boating experience. We stopped in Kehl’s to look for a boat just because we were driving by it. BEST DECISION EVER! It turns out that they sold this boat originally when it was brand new back in 1995 and they were willing to work on it for us. Not only did they fix everything and get it working again, but they allowed me to work on some of it myself to reduce costs.
Not only did they do the right thing with us with repairing our boat, but they didn’t push a new more costly boat on us because they wanted to do the right thing. I couldn’t be happier with them! Thank you Tom and Mike, but especially Joe for all your hard work and kindness. You are all fantastic!!!

Do not purchase a boat from them. Nice and friendly. Then the bait and switch. Poor service. No follow up. Technically inept.

Last summer I purchased a new 23′ Sportman center console from the guys at Kehl’s. From start to finish, they made my experience simple and stress free. I didn’t have to play any games to get the best price. They didn’t try to sell me a bunch of crap I didn’t need. In a nutshell, they were very forthright, honest and gentlemen like throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Kehl’s for your next boat purchase or service. Kehl’s is top notch all the way. I had the very unfortunate experience of doing business with kehls Family boating and marina, I entrusted them to get my well craft excellent 24 foot boat ready for the 2014 boating season, They we’re careless in the prep of my boat for a safe journey
After they were told they left my main cooling hose of the impeller, tom one of the owners said it wasn’t his fault, he had done other work in engine and neglected to de winterize the boat
When you see a mechanic use a vise grip as his main tool to remove engine parts right when your next to him beware
They ruined my season and I had to go to great expense to have the motor taken down to the block to clarify it was because of there defective work
If you want bad service ! and a marina that doesn’t stand behind their work
Stop in, they be very polite to take your hard earned money just pray nothing needs repair of a qualified mechanic

This is service at its best! This past weekend I was out boating on the great South Bay just beginning the trip to fire island with guests onboard. 10 minutes into the trip in my motor died. This was a horrible turn of events. I called Kehl’s Marine and Joe (an excellent boat mechanic) walked me through some diagnosis while I was still out on the bay. Unfortunately I still couldn’t get the motor to work. I got towed in to their marina and within 15 minutes Joe had the motor running, and we were back on her way to fire island. There have been other similar circumstances where I was extremely pleased with the service that I received at this marina. Highly recommended.
