Let’s try this again… I guess my first review was too honest and got delete it. Don’t come here! There’s better places with much better service.
From the initial conversation in the lot to the cashier it’s horrible service. Extremely disorganized, you pay for oil change to get a free car wash… It’s just bad. I felt insulted by the shop workers, they made me feel because I’m a girl I don’t know how it works to service my own car.
There’s better places out there. I will say not on Elizabeth but by the suggestions of other fellow Unilocalers there’s SI, Clifton and Brooklyn lol.
Ok in conclusion don’t come here!

What a joke. Brought my mother’s car just for an oil change, didn’t want anything else done. Had some guy telling me the car with 26 500 on it needed an engine flush and a new air filter. I know what an upsell is, I know an air filter doesn’t cost $ 40, I know what color my oil is supposed to be, and I know that an engine flush is NOT part of recommended maintenance for most cars, let alone a car with under 50k on the odometer. I laughed in the guys face when he told me the list of the «problems» with the car — the car was just at the dealership a month before for a recall check.
The ONLY positive was a fast oil change. But to deal with this nonsense I’ll just bring it somewhere else, I don’t need somebody possibly damaging my vehicle looking for «issues.»

After a second chance, I went in for a differential change. 2wd vehicle, tells me I need to change my front and rear differential. Insistently telling me my front hadn’t been changed and needs it. After 30 min, returns and tells me I only have a rear one…
He then tells me I NEED my power steering fluid changed, but he since lost credibility and a client. Oooh but I get a free 7 $ car wash.

What a horrible set up. They have two entrances (one from st George and one from stiles street). The car wash line assembles right in front of the oil change lanes and you have to move up/back/around constantly to let cars in and out of the garage. Cars will also enter from st George and attempt to cut in front of you in line.
The car wash is sub par. I opted for the ‘gold shine’ which includes inside and out plus wheels and ended up with a dirty film across my windshield and excess dirt on my wheels which I had to go and take care of myself. This would be acceptable at $ 10 but not at $ 18.95. Also– the store inside is overpriced. Hint– drive to auto zone down the block for an air freshener less than 7 $. Off to find another hand car wash. Will not return.

Place is Friendly, Clean and quick. Great staff and they take their time with you to explain your cars needs, even for an oil change. Great work washing cars. Nice and clean both inside and out.
Just a little suggestion, little perfume spray after car is nice and clean would be nice. Want to get into my car and have a nice smell.
Besides that, GREAT PLACE.

Stay away!
This place costs about $ 20 for a wash and wax.
The «hand wash» is terrible. They really don’t even wash the car. Rather, they go over it a few times with the sponge mitts and do not really remove any of the tougher dirt from the exterior of the vehicle.
When I complained that I paid $ 20 (which is not a cheap car wash) and guy just wiped my front bumper twice and did not remove any if the grime, I was at least given a free rewash immediately. Even that one sucked. And for the price they charge, they should be scrubbing the car!

I came for oil change and a wash, the service was quick and the guy who changed the oil was extremely friendly and checked the other fluids in the car.
The oil change service was ¹⁰⁄₁₀
The wash wasn’t that wow, I don’t know is it because it was free with the oil change?!
When I got my car @ the end, I noticed the side mirrors are still socked in soap. The wash was ⁷⁄₁₀

Good for a local spot to get a quick wash or oil change when pressed for time not to many quality options in the area I like the fact Unilocalers get 5 bucks off car wash with every check in makes it worth while also after 10 checkins your wash is free dont forget to ask for your free members card on your first wash

Awesome that I got a $ 5 off car wash but not without some challenge. The owner (woman) told me that it’s only for oil change not car wash when the coupon clearly indicates car wash too. The other owner (man) says that he needs to take that down as if he was annoyed that he had to give me $ 5 off and that Unilocal incorrectly put that coupon there. Obviously others have used it without problems before based on the reviews.
Super overpriced. I thought paying a little extra ~$ 5 would be worth the additional «under chassis» wash, which by the way was a JOKE (check out photo) and the coat of wax. I also had the extra spray wax which was hand sprayed and sold to me by the guy at the beginning of the line.
My total came out to $ 28 (including the $ 10 spray protectant). I still feel ripped off even with the $ 5 coupon.
You’d expect that the car will come out sparklingly? It was meh. It would have looked the same if I ran it thru a regular car wax at another place.

first time here, offered a $ 5 coupon through Unilocal and they wouldn’t honor it because it wasn’t printed out and the owner wasn’t there to approve coupon. nice way to conduct business and retain new customers. here’s a tip; don’t offer a coupon that states it just needs to be shown when paying and not honor it.

I decided to give this place a shot because I got a coupon in the mail in which I get a free car wash with an oil change. The mechanic frustrated because he persistently recommended purchasing additional services. Why would I get a tire rotation if I did it 2000 miles ago? Why would I want to buy the more expensive synthetic oil? Why would you ask me 3 times to purchase wheel shine services when I want a FREE carwash
This place is not customer oriented at all. They only Care about maximizing their revenue even if it makes their customers uncomfortable. The only positive I can say was the cashier was very friendly.
I looked at the reviews and other places have complained about the samething.
As for the car wash it was decent. But why go when you don’t trust the people there?

Ugh. This must not be my weekend. I joined many people in the herd mentality today that took place at this car wash today and jumped on the line. The line was long and wasn’t moving that fast but it’s a hand car wash so I assume this was because the extra attention to detail that was being paid to each car.
Just like most of us I did the whole clean the car before you hand it over to the car wash thing to make sure that nothing I need gets tossed out. When it was my turn to jump out the car I specified which wash I wanted, the cheapest full service package, and in good salesman fashion the guy asked me if I’m sure I didn’t want a pricier package. I rejected and moved on to the area where you can see the wash happening. I wasn’t in the mood to watch my car go through this process as I’ve seen it time and time again.
So I checkout, using my $ 5 off my wash Unilocal check-in offer, enjoyed a 3 minute massage chair for $ 1 and then proceeded to go get my car.
Well when I got to the car I was instantly disappointed. The vaccum job was subpar as I immediately saw crumbs still on the seats. It also didn’t seem as if they vacuumed underneath the seats. The exterior of the car had white streaks all over and the windshield still had dirt on it. Of course I took pics which you can see to back this up.
The best part d my entire experience here was the $ 1 massage. I won’t be coming back…

I have come to this speedy lube a total of three times. Each time, I have been offered «extra» unnecessary services, which is quite frustrating. I prefer going to my Toyota dealership and paying the extra 10 bucks. Also, I once came here and got the free car wash that came with the oil change. When I got back inside my car, I noticed I had religious pamphlets in my back seat. WTF???

MAJOR MAJOR RIP OFF!
I agree with what the user above has said. I went in there for a basic oil check as well and then I was brought into their working area and told that my Transmission, Radiator, Engine, all need to be flushed or else my there is no point in having a synthetic oil as it basically sits on slug!!. I was also told to flush the coolant and get new air filter. The bill was totaling to be over $ 500. When I asked him to remove unnecessary services. Even then I ended up paying $ 400 and free car wash which actually gave my car streaks! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!

STAY AWAY. This place is MAJOR rip off.
I usually go to my local service station to get an oil change/basic services but they were booked. I was close to my oil change expiration mileage (5,000 miles) so I decided to check out Speedy Lube since I was in the area. I asked for the synthetic oil service which was $ 80.
My car was taken into the bay area for service. I was walked into the service area by two African Men (from Africa). Keep in mind walking a non-employee into the bay area of «repair shop» is an insurance violation because of the oils, fluids in the ground and possible slip and fall instances. I was told that my car needed to have many additional services (engine clean, transmission flush, gear box oil service, air filters replacements, exhaust system service) totaling over $ 450. I was also made to believe that my gear box oil was empty and that the oil needed to be replaced ASAP or that my drive would seize. This was NOT true.
My car is a 2010 Lexus with only 38,000 miles, the owner’s manual explicitly states not to replace the transmission fluid because it’s a sealed transmission. I didn’t need an engine clean, the oil was slightly dirty which is why we replace the oil. I accepted some of the services and declined some of the services. My total bill was $ 350, after I was given a «discount» by the «mechanics».
The next day, I had my car inspected by my local shop to ensure that they did do the proper service. As per my regular, trustworthy mechanic of over 20 years I was sold, offered services that I did not need and that were not completed. I was ripped off. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau this week.

So it’s now 3 days since I got my dad’s car detailed here and the carpets are still a bit damp. It was cold and rainy the first day but it’s been hot and sunny since! Every time I get into the car it is super humid and it’s starting to be a bit smelly. I just don’t believe they should have left my car as wet as they did. I think someone took a shortcut.
I called them yesterday and they were closed (day after Easter) but the lady said to bring the car back in or to call them again today. I’m away on business until tomorrow night so I’m stuck with this damp car! Very annoying :(
