DONOTUSEEVER. We bought a washer from Lowes and purchased the extended warranty. When the washer had problems they sent Edwards out to repair. We waited 4 days for them to come out, 10 days for a part and another day to actually get it replaced. Washer worked for 2 weeks and broke again. I asked Lowes to send another company out. Convenient Appliance from Raleigh came out and the tech was very nice, took over an hour diagnosing and talking to the manufacturer. When he confirmed the problem and called Lowes to get authorization to fix they said they had paid all they would pay and would have to have Edwards come back as they guarantee their work for 30 days and had just replaced that part. I didn’t want them to come back but agreed because we’ve spent almost $ 200 at the laundromat in both times it’s been broken and have 2 kids to wash clothes for. From what we can tell Edwards took the repair money from Lowes but didn’t replace the part, only another part that was basically a bandaid for the issue. After waiting all day Edwards called to tell us that the tech was sick and wouldn’t be coming after I just talked to her an hour before and he was running extremely late. They said they would order the part and we would have to wait for it to come in. I didn’t want to deal with these people again so I contacted Lowes. They are refunding the cost of the washer because they refuse to pay more for the repairs. Now we have to pay for a new washer that won’t match our dryer. We will be filing a BBB report for Edwards and probably won’t purchase from Lowes again either if they can’t use companies that aren’t so shady. It’s a shame, never had issues with them before. If I could give negative stars I would. They don’t even deserve one star. AVOIDATALLCOSTS.
