While traveling, we stopped at this Wendy’s to use the rest rooms. Then we ordered(at the counter, not the drive up) a large coffee, two large hot chocolates, and three chicken nugget snacks, to go. It took forever! All the employees were wandering around; there didn’t seem to be any organization or team leader. Our order taker was in the middle of making our hot chocolates when she suddenly turned around and started making a pot of coffee. Seriously, no coffee ready when you’re located right off a busy highway like I-55? My husband told her we needed to get back on the road, couldn’t wait for the pot of coffee to finish, and to give him a hot chocolate instead. When she finally gave them to us, she said they were very hot(they were) and would need to be stirred before we drank them. On the road? How are we supposed to do that while driving? And with what? Turned out they were awful, very watery, but we didn’t find that out for quite a while because they were boiling hot. By then we were much further north. BTW I used the survey on the receipt to let Wendy’s Corporate know about this subpar store. At first I couldn’t make the survey work because they used my name for the transaction number. So I used the website’s sample transaction number and then it worked. Perhaps they do this so Wendy’s Corporate won’t get negative surveys about this store? Bottom line, what a waste of time and money to go to this Wendy’s. Try the Arby’s across the way or the Culver’s down the road. That’s what we’ll do next time we pit-stop in Lincoln, IL.

How hard is it to get a simple order correct? ordered a large chili in the drive thru. Guess what I didn’t get? You got it… A SPOON. Hard to eat chili in a hotel room without a spoon. Called and talked to the manager and his response was that they are short handed. Really? Like that is any of my concern. Terrible service with an attitude to match!
