Went to a Keith Sweat & Kci & Jojo concert. It was a lot of fun! The staff was friendly & the venue was pretty good. There were motor bathrooms that had sinks in there, and porta potties. Both didn’t have a long line. There were food trucks too, but I didn’t look at them. I read reviews that said to get there early because people might sit in your seat & that the seats weren’t marked– I found that untrue. I got there early, and all the seats and rows were properly marked. I wish I didn’t get there so early because it was a long concert. The rows are marked on a placard that’s tied to the chairs and the seats have a little label on top(some may be worn out a little, but still visible). Our seats were pretty good too! We sat in section 4, row L. It was easy access to the bar & we were able to see the stage & screens. Overall, I enjoyed this venue. It’s hot in the summer! So bring a fan, sunblock, and anything else to stay cool!

LOVE this place. I like the noises the slot machines make! They are deceptively encouraging sounds that cause me to keep pressing buttons until my wallet is empty and I frantically search beneath the seats in my vehicle(the 96POS parked in VIP, duh) for change to go back for more

Warning… do not ever purchase the«side stage» seats for the outdoor ampitheatre. These seats cost more than any other seats but they they are nothing like the description. Our«aisle» seats were up against a rail with no way to exit the seat without stepping over 10 other people. The seat are almost behind the stage and blocked by a number of things such as poles and people. You spend the entire show watching the back of the performance when your view is not being blocked. I bought them for the R. Kelly concert and spent the entire show watching his back when he wasn’t blocked by something. Everyone who was sitting in our area was frustrated and said it was a ripoff, paying that much for horrible seats. I tried to do research on these seats prior to the concert and could not find any reviews so I decided to post something to save someone else from wasting their money. After being so frustrated with the seats I finally had to go out and stand near the general admission seats just so that I could see the show.

Just went to heart concert. Paid too much $$$ to sit in a parking lot to watch low quality TV screens. Once people stood up, you could barely see the stage. Not a good venue. The bleachers would have been better seats. I will skip this venue from now on.

Am leaving the Heart concert on 9−18−15. The concert was great, but there is very little traffic direction and the jam getting out of the parking lot is horrendous. BEWARE.

This was our first time to this venue. I know being a local Sacramentan what was I waiting for? I’m not a huge fan of outdoor concerts because of Sacramento blistering heat waves. Well yesterday we literally lucked out; I think it was only 85 degrees! We were lucky though the air didn’t bother us too badly due to Butte and Valley fires. They were making for strange looking smoky gray skies plus the lingering tropical storm coming from the south. We had awesome premium seats in the third row right smack in the middle. We were here for Ready for the World, Stephanie Mills and Kool and the Gang. If you know me I loved this kind of music way back in the day. In fact I loved the female soul singers even more so. I really was looking forward to seeing 58 year old Stephanie Mills singing so beautifully last night plus shaking her body down to the ground! It was my first time seeing all three bands so I really enjoyed myself plus for some reason we lucked out a couple seats were empty next to me that gave me room to get up and dance around me. In fact after hitting the restroom at the TV casino between the last change over of bands my hubby ran into a former coworker. His baby was so adorable and precious! My husband was saying it was fate that happened because he was so happy to run into him! Plus get an update on his life. When we got back another couple had left so there was even more room like four empty chairs!!! One seat was up due to what I think drinks were spilled while we were gone because the seat was damp. The floor around me was wet as well as empty cups strewn all over the floor. Despite all that it was so convenient attending the concert here because you have TV casino right there with all the restaurants, entertainment and gambling plus parking is right out the door! If you want you can spend the night there too although we chose not to. No matter what we did enjoy ourselves and probably will be back. Maybe next time we won’t stay until the very end because of the traffic jam in the parking lot. But we will see how it goes next time! Celebration! Ladies Night! Get Down on it! Joanna!!! The songs from KATG keep playing in my head! Can you tell I had a blast on our 28th wedding anniversary???

I’m so mad about coming to this casino today. I knew I should have stay at home, but nooo I was not happy till I came and gave them my money. They were giving out some nice single serve blenders and they are nice. Whatever you blend can stay in your cup to drink. Pretty cute. I love the that they have added a lot of new games. The food is always great, love the burgers and the Chinese food, never ate at the buffet, but the truth is the only time I’m interested in eating is if I’ve won some money. Today was not that day. I think that its great that Thunder valley has the concerts, they’ve had some wonderful old time groups here, groups from way back un the days. And of course like every place else you meet people, especially if you’re a regular here. I have met some wonderful people here. I would probably win more if I tried to play new games, but I play the same game ever time so there you have it. No more for me for a while!

Some of the best sound I have heard at an outdoor venue. Easy access to parking, food & drinks and clean bathrooms. The staff are polite and the tickets are usually reasonably priced. Ya it’s hot in the summer and it’s outdoors duh? After shows it’s nice to grab some food in the casino too.

Nice«Pop-Up» style venue on the East end of the Casino property parking lot. The venue was set-up with the most expensive seats on the ground directly in front of the elevated stage, in addition to an elevated platform at the rear of the venue(in front of the rear stands). There were 3 sets of stadium style seats/stands: One directly opposite of the stage and two more facing each other to the left and right of the stage. I imagine the ones to the left and right would be the least comfortable as you would have your body/head turned to the left or right to view the performance. Sound was not an issue at the performance I attended but I imagine this is dependent on who is performing(sound gear is typically provided by the performer). There were several beer stands($ 7 for a domestic in a plastic cup that was about 12 oz). There were also a number of mobile food trucks inside the venue which might be a better option if eating there as the restaurants inside the casino were packed(Friday night show). If sitting in the stands, do yourself a favor and bring your stadium seats if you have them. Flat metal bleachers are not very comfortable after a couple hours.

Went to see Charlie Wilson at Thunder Valley the last weekend in August. First event for me at this venue. I was pleasantly surprised. Sat in bleacher C. Let’s just say the inexpensive seats. I think they are the best seats. the view and sound are amazing. the venue offers loads of free parking and eateries. You may want to eat before the show. the restaurants are packed late night. prices are reasonable. returning for the Diana Ross concert. should be a great evening out.

Nice casino. But Tracy Morgan Sucked! Or maybe it was the bad seats i had. Back row by the door. Not worth it with the casino noise and the line wrapping around my seat. When the whining jack ass in front of me complained that i was to loud, that takes the cake, this dude ain’t even funny and we are in the back row by the exit?! Sit down clown! On the upside, we had the best access to the bar. Glass is empty? 20 feet from the bar, sweet! Also a plus, we were right next to the exit… OK, show over… Let get the !@#$ out of here. Did i mention the casino is nice?

I have gone to the Thunder Valley for the concerts over the years. — 2~ STAR ~ Safety issue: The fans block the aisles during the concerts and the security does nothing about this.

Mis-named. Not an amphitheater but an outdoor music venue. Saw 2 acts here. Opt for the further back bleacher seats. It’s a better view and more balanced sound. Cheaper bleacher seat prices, too. It’s plenty loud, you ain’t gonn’a miss anything. Bring binoculars if you want to see closer detail. Free and easy parking.

We saw one show here over the summer and had the best time! Jeff Dunham performed in June 2013 and it was an evening show. We got there early, had no problem finding parking, and were inside the gates with no hassle. There were plenty of employees to help us find our seats with no line for beer or soda. A very pleasant experience for people who normally hate large crowds. They pretty much fence off part of the front parking lot for concerts and shows and put a stage with screens and folding chairs/bleaches. Nothing fancy but it works. The only problem we had was that the chairs are tiny! Pretty much small folding chairs tied together. I am a small person and even sitting next to other small people we were still touching. It would have been very uncomfortable for someone larger. The bleaches had more space. What was nice was that no matter what seat you had, it was a good seat. All seats were close to the stage with no obstructed views. It was also nice in the summer with the warmer nights so we didn’t have a problem with the weather. Recommended! Would come back if there was another show/concert we wanted to see.

Came to see Diana Krall perform and what a great performance it was! We were on the side bleachers and had a great view, but we did have a hard time originally finding our seats since the section wasn’t marked with signs. We had to ask the ushers for help. Also if it’s GA tickets, as long as you’re sitting in the row, that’s good enough as there are no seat numbers on the bleachers although your ticket may have a seat number. The 2 screens on the side made it easy to see too. The prices for drinks were reasonable. Only downfall is the loud noise of buses and trucks that occasionally drive by in the casino parking lot since this amphitheater is right next to the casino main entrance. Also after sitting for 2 hours, my butt was really sore from those bleachers. Some people were smart and brought their seat cushions. Great place to watch a concert on a summer night though.

I have seen three shows to date here. Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge and KC& the Sunshine band. The sound is great and I love that it is such a small venue that ALL seats including the bleachers are pretty close to the stage. They also have big screen tvs so that you can see even closer. I have one major complaint that i have heard people complain about at EACH show. The seats are WAAAY to small. They are white fold down seats that are all zip tied together. I am a larger person, but I hear even small people complain. One lady last night even said that they were kid sized chairs. They cram way too many people into each row as it made it difficult to dance even when we were standing because the seating is just too close to one another. Next time, i will definitly plan to sit in the bleachers so that we have MORE room! All in all, it is a TERRIFIC place to see live music… if they changed the seating, they will most definitly get five stars from me. Parking is free, plenty of drink stands and food.

I came here for the Gabriel Iglesias show. HILARIOUS! I love Fluffy! Anyways, about the setting. The amphitheatre is outdoor and the weather was perfect that night. We had to ask around where the amphitheatre was but the staff were really helpful with that. The seats were fold out chairs; not too comfy but not too bad. They also have bleachers along the back for the audience that purchased«lawn seating». My only complaint was that you can hear all kinds of outside noises. Cars revving, motorcycles passing, helicopters flying by, people yelling at one another. It was distracting. Even Gabriel brought it up. He’s like WTF! Can people STFU outside! We’re trying to put on a show here! Overall, nothing fancy about this amphitheatre, but it was clean and it did the job. I had a great time here.

I read a few reviews before writing mine, specifically Joe E., and I understand his frustration regarding the outdoor amphitheater that recently hosted Gabriel Iglesias and his fluffy sized crew. Thunder Valley hosted its first ever outdoor comedy show and even Gabriel was hesitant of the outdoor venue. Nevertheless, I was impressed at the organization of the casino for this event. Parking was free and there was more than enough to go around. The line to the entrance of the amphitheater was long but it went by fast and there was a corral selling food and drinks. People with general admission tickets were seated on the bleachers and those with reserved seating sat on the«floor» with what looked like plastic patio chairs. The amphitheater had two bars, one on each side and one accepted credit/debit and the other did not. The area did smell like shit, but in all seriousness, look where we were. It was funny hearing the comics comment on the smell and getting heckled by motorcycles, a freight train and a commercial airplane. All in all, it was a great time, in my opinion. $ 25 to see four or five comics plus Gabriel Iglesias doing a 90+ minute act in the cool summer breeze. Thanks Fluffy!

I saw the amazing Joan Jett here and would definitely come back for the right artist at the right price. I had bleacher seats, and still had a pretty good view. The sound was impressive from the first note. Joan’s voice was crystal clear. I only wished the crowd had been a little more enthusiastic because I wanted to stand up and rock out, but I didn’t want to be a dick and block everyone behind me. The nice thing about this place is they really don’t care what you do. You can stand in the aisles on the floor if you want to get closer up. The staff was friendly and the concession stands were surprisingly affordable: $ 5 total for a Rock Star energy drink and large bottle of water. Unless you get seats right up front, I’m not sure it’s worth it to pay for an assigned seat rather than the bleachers. The stage is set high up, and I could see how it would hurt your neck craning to look up from the seat the whole time. Parking was free. The bag search was just a quick peak. I’m sure you could sneak some food and drinks in, no problem. Minus 1 star because: There were no signs inside the casino leading to the amphitheater. It’s like they want you to give up on finding your way out so you’ll drop some cash on the slots. And, that stench! The casino is downwind from the landfill. Hope you like the smell of vinegar and garbage!
