Matt Steinhausen earned a BS in Engineering, Construction Management from UN-​L in 1994. He spent 25 years working in construction related disciplines. He has hands-​on experience with concrete construction, historic property preservation, roofing, fire and water damage restoration, property damage /​insurance claims and commercial building construction /​repair /​maintenance.

Highly recommended! Matt performed my home inspection yesterday for my cross-​country move. He could hot have been more professional and courteous. I was present during the inspection and was pleased to get a several hour crash course on the nuances of the home and preventative maintenance tips. Matt obviously knows his stuff incredibly well. As a first-​time home owner, this information will be invaluable. Very reasonably priced; I felt I got 5 times for value out of the inspection than what I paid for it. He’s a brilliant guy and recently started a blog with lots of great tips here:

Matt Steinhausen was great! We would highly recommend using him for your home inspection. He walked us through EVERYTHING in the house we were buying and took lots of time to answer all of our questions. Not only did he show us where some repairs needed to be made, but he gave us a tutorial on how to maintain the house once we purchased it. His expert advice reassured us that we were purchasing a great home and the things we/​the current owners could do to make it even better.

I highly recommend using this home inspection business. Matt is very nice and really knows what he is doing. He is very thorough and lets you know first hand what is a current problem or what could lead to being a problem. Home owner we are purchasing from even told us that he has had 3 inspections before and never had someone be so thorough in what was found. So if you are looking to have a home inspection for a new purchase or just need one for any reason I would stop looking around and choose Steinhausen Home Inspections because I don’t think anyone could do a better job or be so personable.
