History

Established in 2005.

Lighthouse began in 1996 as part of the Western Placer Unified School District. It began as a vision among leaders from California State University, Sacramento, the Western Placer Unified School District, Placer County Office of Education, Placer County Health and Human Services, and the City of Lincoln to provide, no-cost, comprehensive mental, physical, and social services to the residents of Lincoln and Sheridan.

In 2005 the vision for Lighthouse grew to include becoming a 501©3 nonprofit organization and serving residents throughout the entirety of Placer County. We are now a multi-faceted service provision center with a wide array of no-cost programs.
