Harris Academy of the Arts provides private music lessons and group classes in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Our courses provide unique options for students of all ages, skill levels, learning styles, instruments, and schedules via ensembles, private lessons and group classes.

We provide quality music education for a variety of instruments (piano, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, theatre). We also offer Kindermusik for ages newborn through seven years, and Children’s Music Academy for ages three to seven years.

Our guarantee is that you will receive the best music education with knowledgeable, professionally-​trained faculty. HAA represents learning and community, enjoying the arts, and sharing the passion with those around them.

History

Established in 2004.

At Harris Music Studio, we strive to provide a quality, positive learning environment that allows for convenience in scheduling for the entire family. Since 2004, we have quickly grown to become one of the largest music studios in Lincoln. Exceptional university trained teachers focus on the individualized needs and goals of each student. Our passion and love of music is evident in the classroom and as professional performances.

Meet the Business Owner

Vicki H.

Business Owner

Vicki received her social work and women’s studies degrees at Kansas State University. Vicki has served as manager of Education/​Personnel/​Operations for Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra; & was a site coordinator for Boys & Girls Town’s National Resource & Training Center, working as a consultant for Group Homes & Foster Care programs nationwide. A trained Suzuki Violin instructor & certified Kindermusik educator, Vicki is a member of the Lincoln & NE Music Teacher’s Associations; American & NE String Teachers Associations; and, Sigma Alpha Iota. She serves on the Meadowlark Board of Directors & the Kansas State University’s Music Department Advisory Council. A member of the International Organization «Up With People,» she was a cast member & lead keyboard substitute. While competing in the Miss America Scholarship Program in Atlantic City as Miss Nebraska 1991, Vicki won a talent award for her piano solo & was a scholarship recipient for her community service work.
