Chinook Bend Rv Resort

We have been camping here for many years now and have always had great experiences.
Campground is located along the Siletz River about 15 min. inland from the Ocean, south of Lincoln City, and is very convenient. There are plenty of space and each camp slot varies in size and view. They have their own little market and shop near the river in case you need to buy something or even rent kayaks.
Camping along the river is just an amazing experience. It feels much warmer here, compared to the coast. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Good size fire pit and a picnic table is included in each space. There’s only one restroom, which is not the best, but they have porta potties located around the camp ground for convenience. Showers takes quarters only. They charge per tent per night, not by numbers of people or space. Parking is $ 7 per car. You can buy your shellfish license here too.
We like to go clamming out at the Coast near Siletz Bay, which is not too far from here. There are no phone receptions (which can be a good thing) in this area. This place is unique and is quite nice! Very quiet, no traffic, great open space, and no wind. Great place for large groups.

Beautiful place to camp at. will definitely be back in the future! Every one there is super friendly and accommodating! We forget our propane tank and they loaned us their tank!!!

This place is amazing! The valley that this campground is set in is magical. It is peaceful, beautiful, and serene. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, I feel right at home. My husband and I have camped here twice and love setting our tent up out in their field camping spots. We rented a boat this last time, and were able to cruise the river just the two of us. The scenery along the river was absolutely breath taking! We will return for years to come, thanks for all the memories!

I also found this resort to have much available space, yet they pack the RVs way too close together. It is a beautiful spot, but cramming people together is rude, and causes neighbors to be rude.

I was grateful for a last-​minute spot on a holiday weekend in this RV park, which has a beautiful location. There’s enough land that if you didn’t need hookups, you could get in no matter how busy. Porta-​potties were scattered about for the overflow. The RVs were crammed together. Our site had no picnic table and the fire ring was unusable because it was 18″ diameter. Literally. My greatest complaint, however, was the lack of toilet paper. It ran out in the afternoons, and was not replenished until about noon the next day. BYOTP. The upside: nice walking trails and riverfront, which is why I upped my one-​star experience to two stars. Incidentally, the web site sucks, s-​l-​o-​w internet is only available in the barn, and showers costs extra if you want hot water. Note, I don’t know if it is always the case, but it was very windy all three days we stayed, a risk on the Oregon coast but the geography here seemed to make it even more gusty than in town. And, we were charged more than the posted rate for a site.
