On a road trip and was looking for some lunch other than the usual fast food. Handy dandy Unilocal helped us find this gem. Great lunch. My fella got the gyro which was quite tasty. Following another Unilocalers advice I got the assorted but added pepper relish. Like they said… I’m not sure what made it so good… but it was. Great bread and the pepper relish made it. If we are passing thru again I would definitely stop again.

I was born and raised in the Lima area, moved away 13 years. I only get back to Lima once, twice a year and always make Joey’s a scheduled stop. I really have no idea why the sub are so good, there isn’t anything special about them, but damn I crave them. Its probably the fact that they remind me of my childhood growing, who knows. The shop is small, clean and the staff is always friendly. If you in in downtown Lima, stop for lunch, you won’t be disappointed.
