1 star is to much for this business. I called him over to inspect my ac unit last summer, after showing up he charged me somewhere around 400 to «clean it» in which he sprayed it with water. Then, after that he informed me that either the coils were fried which would cost around 1600 to replace or the entire unit was broken and that I would have to buy an entirely new unit costing around 3500! Thankfully not believing him I called Veasey mechanical and he informed me all i needed was to put freon in my ac unit and it’s up and working and has been for several months now no issues and only costed me 150 total. Although I lost $ 400 to this crooked repair man I encourage anyone reading this to look elsewhere for their repair needs

I had a great experience with RK Heating & Air! RK came out quickly when our furnace wasn’t working, and diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately (turns out it wasn’t the furnace, but a wiring issue in the new Nest thermostat). Furthermore, we needed him to provide a detailed invoice telling exactly what he did to fix the problem so that we wouldn’t have any issues with the furnace being covered under our home warranty. RK took the time to write out a full explanation and mailed it to our home. Thank you for your help, RK! We will definitely use you again in the future :-)

They came out for free to look over my system and offer any insight and recommendations. They didn’t try to sell me anything and ended up just recommending a separate company to clean my duct work. Will use them again when needed. Very professional and nice. I trust their opinion over my current big company.

I have been using them for the past 3 years. He is always quick to respond and as honest as they come. I would highly recommend using them!

Best service person I ever dealt with on anything. Honest, reasonable, punctual, available. Even when I was thinking and suggesting that a more expensive repair was needed he would give me the best option at the best cost. Just this morning I called to get him to service my furnace that was giving me trouble. Instead of jumping at the opportunity to stick me with an expensive service call like most other companies would, after I explained the symptoms he suggested a quick fix I could try on my own before he came out to service the unit. It worked and saved my a service call. I consider him a trusted friend who works on air conditioners. The best.

I wake up the day I’m hosting a huge party and come downstairs to find my ceiling leaking and my rug wet. Not a happy camper.
I had moved in to my place just a month before and the leak was happening where there was a previous patch: turned out it was due to over-​condensation from the air conditioner.
Within a few hours, RK was at my house (a few minutes before his estimated noon arrival time– bonus!), and he quickly got to work. Being a new-​to-​me house, I had no idea where apparently important things like drain lines were, but he did the best he could with my limited knowledge. It was pouring rain but he went back and forth between the outside and inside units (being sure to wipe his feet each time) and eventually showed me the large hunk of ice chilling on my inside unit. Not good. He diagnosed that the coil needed to be replaced and we decided he’d come back in a few days to install.
He’s responsive both over the phone and on email, which is perfect for me. It took him a few hours to install the new coil but he was always sure to alert me to what he was doing: for example he warned me the smoke alarm might go off due to soldering, etc.
Unfortunately, the leak was back the next night and he was back the next morning, determined to find the drain. Once he did, all was fixed and I haven’t had a problem since.
Not only did RK do the job and do it well, he couldn’t have been nicer. I was pretty sick throughout the whole process, spending most of the time he was here in bed, and he texted me after the job was over to check up on me, wish me good health, and provide some at home remedies for my ailing throat.
Just a note: if you have a dog, be sure you’ve got a place to put it away while he’s there. He’s not a fan.

We love RK. He installed an entire new HVAC in our home 7 years ago (rebuild duct lines, pulled out the old furnace, the works). We’ve only had two issues, both in the last month and both caused by power surges. In both cases RK came out to fix the issue, and was able to quickly figure out what was wrong. One case he was able to fix immediately with parts from his truck; the other we had to wait 48 hours for the manufacturer’s warehouse to open (and he was there 9 am to get the part). Good HVAC folks are hard to find; even harder to find are trustworthy servicemen/​women. RK is both!

I couldn’t be happier with the service I received for my broken A/​C unit. The prices are reasonable and the service is quick and dependable. I won’t go anywhere else for HVAC service.
