History

Established in 2003.

Just Live, Inc. began operations in 2003 offering Kauai Adventure Camp and Ropes Challenge Course Programs. Kauai Adventure Camp was a fun filled week of adventure all over the island offered to children with special needs and their siblings. Just Live, Inc. Ropes Course features low and climbing Activities designed to give participant’s the opportunity to develop self-​confidence, collaboration, and team empowerment. We are proud to say that thousands of Kauai youth, young adults, and local businesses have had the «Just Live experience». In 2004, Just Live, Inc. expanded their adventures to also serve the growing visitor industry of Kauai. With this success Just Live, Inc. has grown into a Ziplining Adventure Paradise. Offering the first Tree Top ZipLine Tour in Hawaii, exciting zipline runs, canopy bridge crossings, climbing wall, rappelling tower, challenge course, Monster Swing and much more. A portion of all zipline tours help support their youth adventure learning programs

Business Owner

With their one way plane tickets, backpacks, and college degrees Juli and Nicole headed to the Hawaiian Islands in 1997. The Wisconsin natives shared a passion for adventure and nature. Following months of hiking and camping throughout the beautiful islands it was time to put their hard work ethic and college degrees into action. Juli and Nicole immersed themselves into the island of Kauai community. Starting the first community based program for adults with developmental disabilities which focused on living self-​determined lives. Found great joy as volunteer Special Olympic coaches and mentoring children with Autism. Juli served as a special needs consultant for nine pre-​schools on the island. Nicole served as a school social worker for the State of Hawaii. In 2003 their dream of owning a business on Kauai became a reality. They integrated their love for adventure and outdoors with their nature to help inspire people’s lives. Just Live!

We squeezed this zip line tour in last minute, few hours before our flight. They were able to accommodate us.
Overall the experience was very good, the tour consisted of 7 zip lines and 3 tree canopies. They also have tree swing and balance beam in between the zip lines for some fun.
Our guides — Jermey and Jordan were super cool and nice, it was raining heavily on the day and they took extra care of our safety.
I would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I did the zipline treetop tour. It was very fun and pretty cool to be so high up among the trees as well as have such a beautiful view of the surrounding scenery. The guides were very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable and have a good time. The company’s office was in the anchor cove shopping center, a very convenient walk away from the marriot resort where we were staying. They even lent us jackets in case it rained. I’m glad we decided to go with Just Live!

We loved this zipline tour! It was my husband and mines first time ziplining and it was so fun! Our guides Will and Monty were great! They made the tour incredible and we give them more than 5 stars for how enjoyable they made it! You definitely have to be in fairly good physical condition.
The reason this review is 4 stars is because the day before our tour we called to possibly move it to another day because another activity conflict. The woman on the phone told us there was no way to confirm that we would for sure we able to take our tour because the tour group needed at least 4 people. I asked if our existing reservation was confirmed for the next day and she said it wasn’t and to check back «later today before 5» to see if would be confirmed for tomorrow. I understand they need a full tour but we had no warning of this at all. It would have been nice to know the tour wasn’t guaranteed when booking. We almost cancelled and went with another group due to this but we are glad we didn’t!
P. S. Bring/​wear bug spray! Lots of Mosquitos! They do offer some if you forget which was great.

Fun, fun, fun! Beautiful scenery full of towering trees and green everywhere you look. This was a welcome sight coming from Phoenix in the summer. Jurassic Park, Intro to M.A.S.H. and Raiders of Lost Ark had scenes filmed here. You zipline among the Norfolk pines and eucalyptus trees. Nice cool breezes and the dry humor of Will kept you company while waiting to zip. Nathan was our other guide and he was great as well. All in all a fun excursion at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back when we visit Kauai in the future.

Must do while in Kauai! AJ & Nate were our tour guides today and they were awesome! They both have GoPros so you don’t have to worry about taking pictures and you can purchase the disk drive at the end of the tour. If you didn’t have enough fun zip lining they have a 60ft swing that you can try at the end of our zipline tour. Crazy but so worth it. after the fact! Thank you AJ & Nate for a fun morning!

Talk about a random memory. Perhaps it was triggered by putting a bike helmet on my 2 yr old recently. But I remembered after coming home from this trip to Kauai, both the wife and I developed an itch around our chin and sideburn areas (no my wife does not have sideburns), which we attributed to the straps of the helmets we wore here since tinea thrives in hot humid environments. Perhaps they need to start disinfecting the helmet straps after every use if they haven’t already. For this I’ve subtracted 1 star.

We were not sure ziplining was for us, but the local expert said this is one of the best (the only one above the tree tops) and we would be disappointed with the 3 line experience. Okay, let’s try it. We had a GREAT time! The entire crew was fantastic and really made the whole experience fun and positive.
The lady at the check in was cheery. Tim, the driver from South Africa was witty and funny, and full of great local information. What really topped it off were our guides Paul and Jazzy. They were very calm and methodical making the entire experience safe and fun. Not once did we feel unsafe or coerced to try something we were not prepared; yet we knew we could do it because they quickly built the trust. Then to top it all of they made each zipline a unique and fun experience with different techniques and good humor.
Having completed this experience, we would highly recommend Just Live!

Awesome experience! We did the tree top tour! Made for a long day, but was a blast! AJ and Shauna were our guides and both were awesome! There were 9 people in our group total so it is good to expect there is some hurry up and wait that will happen. Our guides were very efficient and we moved through pretty fast. I was nervous but that went away pretty quickly. Views were great and my husband and I ranked it as one of our favorite things we did while in Kauai. We bought the USB at the end for $ 26 which includes pics and video:)

The Just Live zipline tour was the best activity we experienced for our family vacation in Kauai. Nikki drove the van from the office to the site and provided all the information we needed. The staff is very friendly and professional. With a great emphasis on safety, the adults and teenagers felt extremely safe while enjoying the zip, scenery, movie location information, and friendly banter from the staff.
As an observer (and the Grandfather), I took photos, talked to the staff (Nikki) and concluded «this is the way a professional company should always run».

I did the 7 zipline tour.
The staff was great once we got to the outdoor area. I was a little nervous at first but after the second zip line I was soooo happy to be there. It was my first time zip lining and I’d do it again, and again. I actually wish I could have done the tour again once it was over. I didn’t get enough!
The bridges on the other hand… Scary, But thrilling at the same time. I always felt safe and the two guys took really good care of me and my husband.
Only suggestion is where comfortable clothing that you can run up the ramp in.
They offer some extras at the end. If I wasn’t terrified I probably should have done the monster swing. It looked fun.
Side note: I wish when we checked in that this guy was a little more friendly and actually explained that we were getting in a van to go to the ziplines. The driver didn’t talk either once we got in and it felt a little creepy. Just say hello, or welcome or something… anything.

We were so excited to go zip-​lining in Kauai that we made the huge mistake of booking with Just Live. When we got there, they told me that I would have to put my camera back in the car and not have it with me because the lens was too big. Now I am not talking about a lens you would see on a Hawaiian bluff to photograph surfers a half mile away. This lens was on my modest Canon XSi available at Costco. I explained that I had gone zip-​lining five times previously with the very same camera and there had been no issue. But their response was that «for safety reasons» you cannot bring the camera on the adventure. Period.
All the while they were coaxing my fourteen year-​old daughter into her zipping gear trying to pressure me into not having any family pictures of our $ 450+ adventure (I am strictly an amateur photographer but I LOVE taking photos).
Thank goodness for cell phones. Right on the spot, I called another zip line company in Princeville and described my camera and lens. They said I would be welcome to join them for a zip line adventure (which we did and it was FANTASTIC). I got wonderful photos of the family and the scenery from the Princeville-​based operator.
But here’s the real tragedy of our experience. They had worked on my daughter so hard that she was reduced to tears because her father (me) was such an ogre as to not just put his camera in the car and fall into line with all the lemmings these thoughtless and horrid operators pushed around.
Why would anyone patronize a business that turns child against parent and falsely hides behind the excuse of «safety» to prevent a father from photographing a wonderful adventure? If they are okay with point-​and-​shoot cameras, what’s the big deal with a digital SLR you can buy at Costco? There are at least three zip line operating companies on Kauai. Do yourself a favor and use one that does not falsely hide behind safety. We are very glad we did.

The best time and most adventurous thing I’ve done! We found them on Unilocal of course and read all the reviews. I definitely know why they have five stars!
We did the wiki wiki with three ziplines at 7am. I was terrified of just jumping, but Paul and Chandon made me feel so much better. Cracking jokes was a good way to loosen the tension of going.
Super friendly staff from the office where you check in, the ride to the course, and the staff that suits you up. Beautiful views. It was nice and cool in the morning. The bridges are fun. Wobbly and just fun to hop around on.
It’s on one property, so you dont have to worry about riding from one zip to another.
Very affordable, we got kama’aina since I live here, but even without, it’s still a good price! And they provide beverages and snacks at the end. After you do the lines, you will definitely need some snacks!
I would totally do this tour all over again. No doubt. And I will recommend it to my friends that live here and my friends that will visit here.

What better way to kick off a honeymoon than with an adrenaline pumping adventure? ;) My husband booked a zipline adventure for us the day after we got married. We’d both been zip lining once before, but our buddy and my younger brother had never been. Just Live! was an awesome experience.
Your tour starts in their office at Kalapaki Bay. (Note: There is a 250 lbs weight limit cap to be able to partake in this excursion. Didn’t apply to our group but just an FYI).
What to bring/​wear: sunglasses, athletic shoes or shoes w traction, Vibrams are fine, but no flippy floppies. Feel free to bring a camera with a strap for around your neck. Maybe wear cargo shorts w secure pockets for phone, ID, wallet.
A guide will drive you to the zip line location. There you can spray on bug juice if you want, depends on how buggy it is that day… your guide will know and offer repellant if needed. You can also stow valuables with their staff at the main station if you don’t wanna haul it with you. Everyone in my group wore sunglasses, no one lost them.
Our guides, Brennan and Chandin were fantastic and funny, esp Brennan. They were skilled, knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable. They set everyone up properly with safety gear and provided ample safety training around equipment and techniques for a good tour.
We went through seven zip lines plus three suspension bridges. While you’re up in the trees, there are also opportunities to play on swings and a balance beam.
We were also offered to add on another adventure at the end of or zip line tour… the monster swing or rock climbing wall or both. DO THE SWING. I’ve done some scary stuff in my life, skydiving, bungee jumping… but that swing was cray. I didn’t try the rock wall but I highly recommend the swing. And it’s not that expensive to add on!
Overall, it was a great experience and if you have the time to check out this tour, you’ll definitely enjoy it!

Great experience, would def. do it again. Variety of zip lines available, especially for the price. Very reasonable. Staff was friendly and professional, made me feel at ease. They provided bug repellant and snacks :)
Did zip lining with my sisters and we all loved it. Next time we want to do more! Total zip line time was about 2 ½ hours, that’s including time from the office to the zip line and going over safety instructions. Staff including the driver gave a lot of information about stuff to do around the island.
