I injured myself working out and normally just try to sleep it off but the pain in my neck was unbearable along with a loss of vision in one eye. Needless to say I came to the UK emergency room. Whenever you go to the emergency room you always dread all the waiting and waiting and rushed interactions with the care takers but this was not the case. They called me back immediately and from the moment I sat in my room, I never felt neglected or forgotten about. They brought me medicine for pain, snacks, and even a warm blanket for my muscle ache. I couldn’t have chosen a better hospital and will choose this one again in the future.

Ending up at the hospital with my 5 year old on Thanksgiving day was not in our plans. We were torn during the night whether or not we should go to an ER and being out of town we waited to get into PAA for a dr to see her. As soon as he seen my daughter he immediately called 911 to have her taken to the UK children’s hospital. I can’t say enough about the nurses, techs and Drs in the Peds ER and in the hospital on 4 west. They were all so good with my daughter especially getting an IV in her for medicine which she was more than flipped out about. After getting admitted upstairs, the staff on 4 west was wonderful and accomadating making sure we had everything we needed. They know how to keep the kids calm when they are scared. It was also the quickest discharge I think I’ve ever seen with a hospital. The play room had tons of toys and games for kids to play with. They could rent movies as well. My daughter didn’t want to leave there. I can’t express how grateful I am to those that had to work on a holiday.

Again, they were serving pancakes, bacon, and biscuits using(gloved) hands. The the other worker arranged the bagels using her hands.

I love it here the staff are awesome. The free shuttles from UK to Good Samaratian Hospital or to any of the parking garages. The clinics are are very well staffed and very friendly, and very caring. You can get your xray, lab work, eye exams, medinces, eat, starbucks, free WIFI, dentist, phyical therapy, if you need a psyhic(mind dr lol), hospital stay, plus much more all in one building. Dont have go to 5 different places when you get it all done in one spot.
